Not quite sure where our PM comes into it.

Trouble with you Anti-vaxxers is that you will use any platform you can to try convince the vast majority you are right.
Ok I disagree and choose to listen to the many health professionals, but your decision is yours and unlike you can accept that is their choice.

However cluttering every thread you can with your machine gun repetitive posts (8 so far just on this page) just spoils the forum.. It becomes boring especially with the multi links to silly cartoons and so called experts/nobodies desperate for their 15 minutes of fame, they add nothing to serious debate.

Sad to say I've got bored with having to trawl through the crap to have a serious debate on things like this, happy to debate anything based on fact. Hence time to have a break from the forum, the stage is yours soon to be your own i expect.
Sad to say debate on the subject of vaccines is not tolerated since any arguments are dismissed as conspiracy theories. And if you hold any opinion other than the official narrative the cancellation awaits.

The two sketches and the cartoon were about Novak which I thought illustrated the intransigence and stupidity of the decision to ban him. But the law is the law... would not a negative covid test have sufficed? Instead a big song and dance has to be made out of it.

I have decided that if I must wear a tin foil hat then it is best to skip the serious stuff since nobody listens. I find that a cartoon or an obnoxious sketch is more irritating or thought provoking than any rational argument... but even that type of provocation doesn't seem to have any effect in stirring people from their somnolence.

Indeed I Dispair and I give up.

Bayern Munich are not paying their players a salary if they are unvaccinated & are unable to train/play due to covid.

No one can deny that... so why cling to this as a universal panacea.... quite a few people on here have had the vaccine and have contracted covid.
Vaccines don't stop you getting covid. No vaccines do that. What vaccines do is to prepare the body so it is better equipped to fight the virus when you do get it. You still get the virus, you still pass it on but your body has a defence against you getting the serious conditions associated with the virus. Yes you can still die but your chances are far smaller than if you haven't been vaccinated. That is why despite the horrific amount of people catching the virus currently we aren't seeing anywhere near the amount of people needing to go to hospital or dying.

In a footballing term think of the vaccine as getting George Graham in to sort out your defence. After having a couple of sessions of George you are far less likely to concede bucketloads of goals. Yes you will still concede a few but you now have a far better chance that your attack can win the match for you. You then get George back in every now and again to give you a booster session so your defence doesn't forget how to defend.

I think we should not pay our players if they cannot play due to injuring themselves through stupid goal celebrations...ie Bamford!

He's cost a few players titles with his antics Leon. Andy Murray for one. Andy 2-1 up, final of the Australian open I think, Djoker leaves the court and is gone for ages. Andy left twiddling his thumbs....Djoker comes back, all showered and changed, even the commentators were incredulous when he eventually returned to court. Andy's concentration broken, Djoker goes on to win. Afterwards when Andy was asked by the press if he thought Djoker had deliberately unsettled him he replied something like....'You'll have to ask Novak what his intentions were, only he knows'.
I think Andy was very restrained in his answer.....

I wonder what his "exemption" is for?

In any case he knew Australia's stance for entering their country well beforehand. Perhaps he should listen to Nadal, he talks sense.

Entirely up to him if he gets vaxxed or not but accept the consequences at the moment of not doing so, don't expect the world to bow down to him.

Or you could also say that Omicron is known to give milder symptoms
and less people are going to hospital or dying regardless of being vaccinated or not?

No Rab, the majority of patients seriously poorly in hospital & an average of 150 people dying each day here in the UK are the unvaccinated.

If the 80% of the people now dying of Covid had chosen to be vaccinated we would be treating Omicron like a winter flu bug and we could all be getting on with our lives.

But hey ho, its a personal choice and we can't discriminate on the grounds of stupidity.

I have tried many times to make those points to Rab but he always chose to ignore them. He continues to ignore the facts (I believe the effectiveness of the vaccine is now truly a fact) and he apparently still believes that the vaccine is of no use regarding preventing people not getting really ill or dying from Covid.
He seems like a smart guy on many levels but his anti-covid vaccine position certainly seems to have bypassed his common sense radar.
