Alexandre Lacazette has re-signed for Lyon on a free transfer - five years after leaving to join the Gunners for a then club record £46.5m.

Lacazette returns to the French club on a three-year deal until June 2025.

Arsenal have confirmed the signing of 19-year-old Brazilian forward Marquinhos from Sao Paulo.

The Gunners say the Brazil Under-17 international has joined the Premier League club on a long-term contract.

The Sao Paulo youth product made his first-team debut as an 18-year-old last July before helping them win the regional Campeonato Paulista in 2021.

"He is still very young, so he is a player for the future," said Arsenal's technical director Edu.

Marquinos is an excellent signing, I was hoping we would get him for the U23's initially.

I'm a bit gutted about that. I wanted us to sign him. :(

Nketiah has the potential to be the best striker in England imo, could even see that potential when he played for us... There's a lot of Ian Wright in him mixed with Lineker ....
