Doesn't really bother me, it expands the playing squad

Patrick Bamford has a foot injury.

Basically an injury to the sole of his foot.

He will be out for a minimum of 6 weeks.

Has been suffering with this injury for a year but its got worse.

He is likely done for the season imo.

Again brings into question the appalling squad planning this summer.

Complete rupture. Don't count on seeing him again this year.

Devastated for us. Doubly devastated for Paddy.

Funny that.
Bielsa has essentially ruled him out for the season, then he became available under Jesse, then he makes his injury worse.

I guess Bielsa knew more than some thought.

Huge psychological blow for us. Potentially a game changer. Joffy needs wrapped up on cotton wool now.

Marsch the injurer... 🤕
Marsch OUT

Football has undergone a process of bielsification; pressing and possessing, passing rather than dribbling, intercepting high up the field rather than making last-ditch tackles, are in vogue.

Marcelo Bielsa. The light that will never go out.

Paddy was an an idiot in his goal celebration after his first comeback. He caused his own injury problem, nobody else caused it.

Given he has been playing with this injury for 12months according to Rob Price meaning Bielsa knowingly played him injured far more than Jesse Marsch did and one of the main causes of this injury is overuse i don't think MB can be absolved of blame somehow.

Anyhoo hopefully a chance for Gelhardt as you say :)

I have had plantar fasciitis and it took me 6 month to recover from it including cortisone injections. Worst injury I’ve ever had it was evil. The fact he’s played with it for so long is completely ridiculous, the fact he’s had it and we didn’t bother to bring anyone in to cover is even more of a joke. The club has been run by total cretins for the whole of the season.

That was a hamstring injury, not his foot injury from what we are told.
But yes he was.

Can’t blame Marsch as much as it may suit a narrative. he wouldn’t have played without the advice of the medical team and the player himself.

It’s a big shame but with Philips back and even cooper it will hopefully be enough to see us through. Rodrigo looking a lot better as well and was very interesting to read how he felt the man marking affected his positioning and therefore his impact - seems the change has done him the world of good.

So he tore ligaments a year ago, or he didn't because he injured his foot, he should have been off for a year, or 6 weeks, or starting, he injured himself celebrating, it's Bielsa's faulty for not playing him, it's not Marsch's fault for starting him...at the moment the stories really don't stack up...

Can't argue with that. Sometimes (a lot of the time) this club is a complete joke. Professional...pfff!!

Yep. We knew he was injured, could have brought in a loan striker in January, but tried be too clever and now made things worse. Sadly no one is surprised.

It’s the old “only sign players better than what we have” coming back to haunt us.

That is just nonsense from a club justifying reasons why they shouldn't spend any dosh.

Let's see what happens in the summer

Leeds have spent dosh. And lots of it.

At the same time we haven't raised any money by selling players.

We aren't exempt from FFP just because we're in the Premier league.

And what about the money from tv, sponsors, commercial, tickets, memberships etc? We've brought in far more than we've spent.

I'm expecting more to leave during the summer , than we gain, in other words, our best players will go to the highest bidders and we will buy cheap again....does the club actually want to be a PL team ?
