The Arthur Cabral rumour seemed to have some traction this morning but seems to have been somewhat eclipsed by the Rodrigo deal.

Don't know a lot about him; 22-years-old, 11 goals in 46 for Sporting Lisbon, 18 in 39 for Basel. Only just signed for Basel in July for £3.96m, not they want £18 million for him! All agent talk? Not heard anything from the usual club sources.

Would like Cabral, lots, but can’t see us getting him and Rodrigo. If we did, along with Koch, well I’d be in dreamland!

And Rodrigo? I doubt it. But I'd love it too. Which one of them is playing Center Back?

According to Phil Hay, the Cabral talk is being driven purely by his agent, Leeds have denied an interest.

yeah me too, not sure how i feel about the rodrigo signing, 29 years old, 27m now i think thats a lot of money probably we would well have got cabral for 20m. i just hope rodrigo keeps himself fit and helps us to stay up, realistically thats our aim this season is to stay up.

I look at it this way. If we sign a 22 year old and he scores 20 he’d be gone next season. A 29 year old who scores 20 is less attractive to those for whom money is no object. Glass half full.

Sigh. Very affordable too. But at least we have Roberts and Rodrigo!
