West Ham offers 50mill for Kalvin because they know Rice is leaving for closer to 100mill in summer.
Why is Raph always ‘valued’ at less than 40mill … is it just because he’s at Leeds and not City?

At least there's good news this transfer window, we didn't get Traore ,the winger with no end product we so desperately need, he's gone to Barcalona on loan.

Shame West Ham don't want to bid £50m for Tyler Roberts. Mind you, we'd reject it anyway.

Milner to leave Liverpool at the end of the season. Well that's our big summer signing lined up!

More u23s. You couldn't make it up!![]()
Kinnear and his mates cooking up fake bids to leak to the media to try and placate both sets of fans.
It's actually really transparent.

Wasting more money on a player who will never make it at Leeds. Why didn't we just keep Leif Davis? Looks no worse than Firpo.

It gets better, Graham now saying we're not interested in Calvin Ramsay.
Why? We're missing out on a very talented RB, which is a position we definitely need to strengthen in the summer anyway.

concentrating on the under 23 hoping they will unearth a diamond like raphinha only to put him in the first team and sell on later for a profit, the man isnt interested in making this club great again, we need owners like newcastle, feel everyones pain.

Re: January 2022 transfer speculation and squad discussion
Obvious all window we would sign literally nobody.
An unprecedented injury crisis, flirting with relegation since matchday 1, a bench of schoolkids.
Sign absolutely nobody and do nothing.
Leaving a decision that is worth hundreds of million entirely to hope and assumption.
Assuming teams below us won't improve
Assume we will improve
Assume players whose form has dropped significantly will suddenly improve
Assume a squad riddled by injuries all season will improve
Assume players who have faded under pressure before will cope.
Assume that players whose best form has come infront of no fans can cope.
Signed

So the teams below us have strengthened and we haven't.
As a F1 fan why does it make me think of Lewis Hamilton starting the last lap in Abu Dhabi on 42 lap old hard tyres versus his competitor just behind on brand new softs ? I hope the result isn't similar and like Lewis we are sitting ducks.

There is a major assumption in all this that if Bamford comes back, he will immediately start banging in the goals. People forget that he has had phases in the past of not scoring for 10 to 12 games. And that's assuming he does come back this season - he has had two seasons now at the club decimated through injury.Cjay wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 12:15 pm Obvious all window we would sign literally nobody.

If and when Forshaw comes back we could declare that to be like a new signing.Cjay wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 12:15 pm Obvious all window we would sign literally nobody.

Re: January 2022 transfer speculation and squad discussion
Just because it’s January it doesn’t mean the club have to buy someone.
We as fans would always welcome new players, every fan of every club does.
Even the Aaronson thing might only be paper talk, the club haven’t confirmed the offer or denied it.
Not defending them but they did say they were only after a player if the stars aligned so to speak.

Actually, given our signings in January over the last 5 years, it may be a blessing that no business has been done ;Finnatic wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 12:26 pm Just because it’s January it doesn’t mean the club have to buy someone.

The problem is Bielsa. I know most on here won't agree, but I don't care.Cjay wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 12:15 pm Obvious all window we would sign literally nobody.

Bielsa overrates the players we have. He thinks there's no better players out there than Ayling, Cooper, Dallas, Forshaw, Klich, Roberts, Harrison, James, Rodrigo, which is why we never try and replace them, and we're stuck with them until he leaves.
Bielsa turns down players who will improve us.
Bielsa refuses to see how paper thin the squad is, and will only agree to signings if someone leaves.
Bielsa keeps overtraining them, despite their bodies struggling to cope, hence the poor form and constant injuries.
Bielsa names the same team every week, so the opposition know exactly who is playing and how we will set up.
And to top that off, we have a board who are afraid of saying no and happy to dine off winning the Championship forever, until they take us back there.
Some fans are happy to lap that up, but they will be the same ones booing Raph, Kalvin, Meslier etc and calling them "greedy" for having more ambition than us.

We do need to sign someone because we haven't signed a midfielder for 4 years, and we have a 15 year old on the bench. Really not surprised that some fans would defend this window.Finnatic wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 12:26 pm Just because it’s January it doesn’t mean the club have to buy someone.

Burn Everything!
Marsch OUT
Football has undergone a process of bielsification; pressing and possessing, passing rather than dribbling, intercepting high up the field rather than making last-ditch tackles, are in vogue.
Marcelo Bielsa. The light that will never go out.
