Re: Brentford Thread - Bees sign Christian Eriksen

He seems like a panic signing tbh. I really hope it works out for him after what happened, but all I see is a few sub appearances.

Forget fans blaming our training for injuries but could you imagine Eriksen training with us. I think the term Murderball would be most apt. Good luck to Eriksen but think it will be a case of him really having to take baby steps in terms of how much he actually plays until he starts to feel 100% confident.

Can't see Eriksen appearing for at least a month of intensive training, then it may be just a few sub starts.

Can't imagine I'd do much cheering if he scores the winner for Brentford on the last game of the season sending us down .🙈

Hope the lad gets back to his best.
He will be an inspiration to those that have suffered the near fatal condition.
Tbh I very surprised that they are allowing him to play
High level footy again .with all the intensity.

Pontus scores the winner for Brentford

How well have Brentford performed?

Won five of their last six games sitting nicely on 39 points

Jannson has been a big influence captaining the Bees :hat:

Eriksen a terrific shrewd signing for them.

Toney their top goalscorer was signed from a league one club.

Next season will be a big test for them as it is for many promoted teams

Hadn't realised quite what an incredible impact Eriksen has had.

When he took to the field for them for the first time on matchday 27 Brentford were 16th,1 point above the relegation zone.

Of the 11 games he has played for them they have only lost 3 and he didn't play in one of those.

Won 7 and drawn 1.

Averaging 2 points per game and 4th in the form table since he played first.

Basically saved them from relegation and dragged them.up the table.

They aren't as good as we were last season as the points and goal difference shows but he has had an incredible impact.

KP is going to need to do a man marking job on him, is he capable anymore?

The Brentford fans are very excited at the thought of relegating us next Sunday. Spite, jealousy and ignorance off the leash on their forum, and specifically on who they’d like to see go down - although the Everton racism incident has opened their eyes a little to what other supporters in the PL can be like.

Still agree with the Square Ball lads though!!😂

He was slightly hobbling off the pitch at the end of the match.
LUTV kept the cameras rolling after others streams stopped.

We have to go into this match with total belief, also win by any means available, meaning, let’s do the dark arts, I don’t care how we get a result, it doesn’t have to be pretty, let’s just get a result, I’m hoping Pontus will Greg one of our players down in the area and even accidentally score an own goal.

And what happens when he leaves this summer? The TSB guys were laughing about his interview where he highlighted all the options open to him now, he's off.

This is a brilliant video, so good I'll post it up on our match day thread too

Max Verstappen surely not!

Great shots of the Leeds end

Raphinha's & Jack's goals

Celebrations

Raphinha's religious crawl

Leeds fans outside the ground after the game

Leeds fans celebrating in a bar

Brilliant from a couple of London football fans (father & son)

The reason I love these videos, Swannie, they catch the whole atmosphere of a game, which is a big part of football for me.

I have another one coming up with an outstanding view of the match, plus the Brentford fan saying "Leeds played well & deserved to win the game"

Watch this space. :-D

Here we go again, Swannie. I know you enjoy these clips featuring the atmosphere in our games, Great close-up footage of the game from this Brentford couple.
