A very sad day

Thank you Marcello, your reign has been nothing short of brilliant. Filled with great memories.

So many players improved under your leadership, we played football the beautiful way. You handled yourself with integrity, always accepting responsibility for our results and never blaming others.

A great coach and a great man. You will be sorely missed.

Now it's up to his replacement to keep us in the top flight, and for those running the club to continue the upward trend that they have led us on over the last few seasons.

While I said yesterday that it would be interesting what the board did after yesterday's result, I'm numb after hearing the announcement despite the fact something did have to change.

Once he stated that he wasn't going to change the way we play then the writing was on the wall as the way we were playing we were certs to go down.

Be eternally grateful for the last 4 years and some of the most breathtaking football I've even seen.

The PL is not the be all and end all.

I'd rather watch a Bielsa Leeds team in the Championship than Dyche type Leeds in the PL.
