Too lenient to start with which then led him to give out yellows that previously he would have let go.
Very Inconsistent

Not the worst refereeing performance by any means but with the usual inconsistencies of standards regarding bookable offences, as usual to our detriment. Also VAR saved him from making an error with the penalty decision but, as I’ve said previously and to be fair to him, it would have been difficult to assess in real time, and that is what VAR is for anyway.

He got the game defining “not interfering with play” decision correct imo, judging by current interpretations of that rule. But if that goal had been disallowed compared to Lanzini’s (West Ham’s) goal which had been given then there would and should have been uproar. But, as I say he got it right, so 5.5/10.

Never been a friend before but probably is tonight. The sending off that completely changed the game was a little harsh imo but we’ll take it - thank you!

Not being used to such favourable decisions from referees, it makes me slightly suspicious that there is an agenda afoot to keep us in the Premier League because of our attractive style of play. Every game we play these days is utterly compelling - but enough of such conspiracy theories, it might just be that things are evening up. Any which way our friend Friend deserves an 8/10.

7/10 one of the better refereeing performances this season, when the 50/50 calls go your way I guess it makes all the difference

Patchy performance. Jimenez should have been booked multiple times before he was booked for his diving and cheating. Should already have been off for me.

The booking for the Meslier challenge was harsh.

Turned his back on Dallas when that should have been a red card.

Let Wolves away with diving, cheating and time wasting all night.

But sending Jimenez off turned the match completely.

6/10 good in sections of the game but not great in others, I think he got the sending off right if Spiderboy hadn’t got the ball or Raul got it first then Spiderboy would have at least got a booking so it’s got to work the same for the striker. Plus how many times have we seen Raul leave one in a tackle and get away with it so I don’t feel sorry for him.

My big big bear is the time wasting, I’d said before the game that they’d do it and what a shock once they’d scored players started going down, taking forever over throw ins free kicks etc... the Prem need to do something about it, it’s openly cheating and it bugs the f**k out of me

I did love it towards the end of the game when we time wasted and their fans started booing

Their second goal came from an unpunished simulation by Jimenez who should already have been off for the dreadful lunge which he only got booked for which would've rendered the mes challenge irrelevant. The challenge on Dallas was also a red & he missed that one too.
With regards to the big lump tackling himself & Struijk (Who was atrocious again) getting a yellow for it leading to their goal, what exactly is the point of VAR & why can't they look at whether the free kick was merited and disallow the goal?

5.0 for at least not being biased.

Can't give him a score as didn't watch the full match but can't see why some experts are suggesting the sending off was harsh. It may have been harsh if it had been a straight red but it wasn't. It was a straightforward late tackle that resulted in injury. Messlier clearly got to the ball first and as such the Wolves player is late.

Looks like he missed the challenge on Dallas which was nasty.

Has to be a 10, we got just about everything and for once on the right side of a dodgy ref performance... Maybe word has filtered down from on high now Bielsa has gone (who the EPL must have hated with his refusal to speak English and high sense of ethics) they need LUFC in the PL... We'll start to get more decisions
