But they were always a bigger deal for the other home nations I think, Swannie. England were expected to win and so Wales/N Ireland/Scotland were always seemingly more up for those games from memory and therefore England on a hiding to nothing-if they won, well they were supposed to and if they lost……..well 🙄

Harsh, MC………..Austria must be one of the most boring teams in Europe, so I wouldn’t have thought outside the Tirol 🏔🧗‍♂️and the international skiing ⛷ community there isn’t any great love for the boys from Vienna 🙂

I watched the match this afternoon. What woeful batting. They fell like domino's.
Jack Leach is still there bless him, wiping his spectacles, frustrating the Windies bowlers :) 146 - 9
Yeah, Bale and Harry Kane both remind me of those kids at school that used to sit there with their gobs open catching flies

Aye, Leach is having a go at least, think the rest of them need to go to Specsavers as well :geek:

Shame about the Windies they're a pale imitation of the past: Roberts, Croft, Ambrose, Holding, Holder, Walsh, Garner, Marshall, used to be terrifying watching those guys, and what batsmen i the past Haynes, Greenidge, Lloyd, Sobers, Viv, Kalichirran.

England are an absolute joke, can't be bothered wasting my time watching those jellyfish :x

It still grates me that all the other home nations love to hate the English, so , it bothers me not when they get knocked out early, or, as normal, they don't make it at all.

Football has undergone a process of bielsification; pressing and possessing, passing rather than dribbling, intercepting high up the field rather than making last-ditch tackles, are in vogue.

When James got through just before the goal he's the same as Harrison, they never get their head up to find the right pass.
