Poveda is back.

He got injured whilst out on loan in November and immediately returned to Leeds.

It was a very bad injury too.

Since the arrival of Bryan Gil Costa has become a passenger and has only played 25minutes in the last 5 games.

Valencia have no interest in buying him even for a reduced fee of £9mil.

The chances of us getting rid of Costa for anything like the fee we paid for him is non existent and his wages which will reflect his status as a record signing when he arrived and a Jorge Mendes client will be a major issue.

He is likely one of our highest paid players, certainly top 5 I'd say.
Victor - take a bow... How long did we sign him for - 10 years on 100k a week ?

What's happening with JKA by the way given that we are on the topic of Orta disaster signings..?

The Monkeys appointment just goes to show how much Radz knows about footy and that's zilch, he's a business man full stop.
It also highlights how much of a smooth talker the class 1 Clown is, but it paid off with the signing of Bert.

The best thing for Leeds and the single biggest move John Wayne can make, is to find his own scout (but i wouldn't even trust Jesse with that task). So we urgently need someone before the summer with an excellent eye for talent on a mediocre budget, before the Monkey lays his hands on a single £ of our incoming for KP and Raph.

Bert has gone and we don't have his magic wand anymore to wave over bob standard players, so we're going to have to spend more and won't be able to afford to gamble it works....like with the likes of Costa, Kiko.....oh the list is endless.

I was never worried that KP would leave whilst Bert was manager because of how easy he transformed him into something special in the most pivotal of roles in todays modern game, I don't have the confidence that Jesses equipped to do anything on that scale, so he'll be wanting ready made ones that will cost money.

There's nothing wrong with DJ that experience can't fix, he needs nurturing, he's 100mph atm and is trying his bollocks off.

Too fast for his own good when in control of the ball, v young and enthusiastic , that's alright when we don't have the ball.

He needs to be told to have his next move in mind if the ball comes to him, and then set about executing it, and always be aware of which of your own team are around you, and more importantly, which are available.

I'm really not sure about the merits of referring to someone who looks Spanish/Southern Mediterranean as "the monkey" all the time.

Yeah not good to dehumanise someone in such a way, irrespective of the poor decisions made. Been a few remarks on this forum recently that just don't look good.

Graham has mentioned this and said it is a possibility and a Saudi journalist has said it is close to done so.

Helder Costa is close to joining his former manager Nuno Esperito Santo at Saudi club Al-Ittihad.

No clue whether a loan or permanent.

Like Klich, I assumed Costa would be on his way, all the subs vs Cagliari looked forlorn figures as they stood in a line watching the match near the West Stand/Kop corner flag knowing they had little chance of taking part in the game.

Costa & Klich couldn't even make the bench for the Citeh behind closed doors match.....that told the whole story for me.

Good frigging riddance, waste of space just like roberts etc, please stop with the love in for players who have done a maximum of f**k all for this great club.
Oh, he scored 2/3 goals in the championship, big deal, he's shite, hence where he's allowed himself to go to.

Stop with the love?

He was good in our promotion season. Grateful for that. Good for about the first 8 or 10 games back in the premier league. Then he was shite. Glad to see him go. Wish it was for a little money to recuperate the fee we paid. But we'll probably end up with a contract run down and free transfer. His demise - which I think is totally on him - is disappointing. For the last 2 years he's been disappointing. But I'll still offer gratitude for the role he played in getting us back to the promised land.

Yep, awful signing and for the amount that we paid for him. Wolves had our pants down on that one (along with Douglas). He's probably found his level in the Saudi league.

There was not a chance on earth we'd retain Costa on our books, he is simply not good enough in the PL. Helder gets knocked off the ball far too easily, a bit of a big girls blouse to be honest.

I wish Helder all the best in Saudi Arabia.
