Really ? So after a 0-3 win with a new manager, we have a comment from Weasel which went ;
Ah fair enough. I will be honest the football isn't as pleasing as it was when we were playing well under Bielsa but at this stage of the season it is all about 3 points no matter how we get them. We rode our luck today in that second half but had the quality when it mattered.
Followed by a Loooong analysis by Weasel of BIelsa's record versus Marsch's in the games which we have played recently under Marsch.
Yet nobody else is allowed to comment on those posts in case it brings up the taboo subject of Marcelo Bielsa....
My answer was in response to a post in which it had been mnetioned that people had been moaning on a different thread. I hadn't been moaning so was balancing the view out in how I could see how people might be disappointed in some of our football having been spoilt by the way we played at times under Bielsa, not a criticism or a praise just how I could see their point of view. Like I said in that post at this point it is all about points.
I find it strange you then suggest my post comparing results from said 6 matches was excessively long seeing as how I had condensed it as much as possible before you then, as is your way, decided to miss the point and I then had to extend it for your benefit. As I stated then and have since, but again something you ignore (there's a common re-occurrence) it wasn't to have any dig at Marsch just a cautionary note, along the lines of finding a negative as is the idea of this particular thread, that we haven't necessarily become a lot better than we were so we need to avoid complacency, We are nearer to safety but we are still more or less achieving the points that we had been doing previously (when judged by results against the same opposition). If we continue in this way and achieve the same points as in our earlier matches against the teams we still have to face we will only get 3 more points which would put us on 36 points for the season which may not be enough.

Did you post them because there's something wrong with your brain
I am and remain a big fan of he who must not be named.
I tend to avoid the what if he was still here argument- would we have had the same results etc.
However Chapel has IMO touched on a very important element - which he called free fall.
There is no disputing a full firing confident, injury free Bielsa Leeds would have probably put a few of our recent opponents to the sword. But the reality and it is inescapable for me - is that particular Bielsa team hasn’t appeared since last season. There have been glimmers but the lustre had gone.
Personally, I felt the team was in crisis and a change of either the players or management was required. The team could not be changed therefore it had to be the manager.
We will never know how he would have fared - comparing against matches when the confidence crisis had not taken hold is no different to comparing against the same results last season to some degree.
Marsch has come in and has started getting results - that is what he was brought in for. It is not pretty - he is our Big Sam. I will not judge him until next season from a purely aesthetic footballing perspective.

Thats the sensible approach, If JM keeps us up, then it's job done, then the spotlight will be truly on him and his decisions / formations, I don't care where we finish as long as it's in the PL.
Next season really will be a telling time, but, lets be honest, anywhere in the top 16 will be suffice, we have no right to be among the elite, plus we can't compete moneywise, last seasons 9 th was a pure anomoly.

Let’s be honest, 8th down in this league are distinctly average and Wolves are faultering. With the right investment and management no reason we can’t finish mid table again next season. It’s about turning those losses into draws and draws into wins.

Yep. Even the likes of Leicester and West Ham look like they're coming to the end of their "good" period, so there is an opportunity to push on. We can't stand still again next season or we will go down. Obviously we won't be able to compete with Newcastle, but throwing money at it guarantees nowt as Everton and Villa have shown.

Moyes always had one good season, one off season at Everton. It’s difficult when you aren’t in that top tier. Have a decent season then the top six come in a nick all your players!
We did well keeping our best players last summer, we won’t every season. We just need to replace them wisely.

I'm 100% certain Raph will go, and he deserves the move. But we don't need to sell anyone else. The accounts are in rude health and we should be in a strong position now to move forward. This summer will show how ambitious Radz and co are.
In the EPL spending is the easy part for most clubs - it is spending wisely in the over inflated largely unproven player market. We shop in the same player mall as everyone else below the top 6.
Orta gets it in the neck a lot but it is not an easy task.

Come on guys, rigorous debate is fine but let's try not to make it personal.
To quote the great Michael Caine in The Italian Job; “Well, look happy you stupid bastards ! We won, didn't we.”
WHO'S A B@STARD ? ME ?

Sorry to be pedantic....but it was Charlie Crokers (Caine) right hand man Bill Bailey..played by George Innes....as he was driving the guys in the Doormobile after the robbery.
Positives: The 3pts....and more reassured play once KP & Greenwood came on and we had an actual centre forward..as a centre forward.
Negatives: Initial selection. Koch is NOT a midfielder. Mesliers awful distribution and freekick positioning..AGAIN.
Our inability to pass after we went 1-0. I began to think we couldnt pass wind in a baked bean eating contest.
Calm down with the negatives Changy, they'll be having a fit. Try to dress it up nicely for them.

But..i agree the quote is rather apt
Apologise inmediately as Chapel doesn't ever need to be factually correct and you should know that.
