Never did see the appeal of drinking a pint of cider brewed in someone's bath tub rather than a pint made by people with hundreds of years of experience.

I get wankered on owt too strong and tend to drink 18, not just 'sample' one or two.

Listening to the Square Ball propaganda pod... Mosco's take on Marsch is pretty much how I feel; don't like his personality, don't like his style of football, not convinced by any performance under him so far, hope he's able to develop away from the red bull system, because that's unlikely to get us very far, all down to making good signings now, hopefully we'll do better next season.

Pretty much sums how I think about him. Don’t mind his personality and the Summer signings will show how we are going to play.
Seems fairly unlikely, given previous windows, that we’ll not get in the players required. If this is the case I can’t see a massive improvement from this season.
Thing is, we need a massive upward trend in the team performances if we are going to be even mid table next season.

I make an excellent British Best Bitter. My preference is for traditional styles. Not the Hipster crap you speak of. Something that looks like a pint of Orange Juice or worse yet a yeast experiment gone wrong...No thanks!!

Think we have to distinguish between craft breweries and micro breweries here. 2 totally different things. I see craft as meaning hipster. Loads of brilliant ones of the latter round the country including in my town. They make proper ales not stuff in colourful cans. We also have Greene King and I have less time for them for many reasons I can’t be arsed to go into even though they make supposedly proper ale.
The real ales up north are the best, especially in my “other” home, Chester. A pint of Cheshire Cat, nice.
Like to visit the Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery. Featured on the Hairy Bikers. Maybe someone on here has visited.

Have you been over to the Nethergate brewery at Long Melford Jaydog? It used to be in Clare but they moved a few years ago.

What are your thoughts on that, is it a good or bad thing Mike ?

In theory I think it is fantastic. If teams are ambitious they get the opportunity to be rewarded for that..which seems great. And, I like that even teams who are crap on the year end up having motivation to not just mail in their performance given that they risk dropping a division. But, I expect it is more complicated if you have to live through it.

It won't happen in my lifetime in the states, and there is something to be said for the relatively level financial playing field the MLS has (thought it is overly complicated) which does mean that every team has reasonable chance to be top of of the table.

First time I watched Leeds was in 1964, so I suspect you are correct

Saw those great Spurs teams in the 60s/70s several times.

Jennings, Beal, Knowles, Norman, Mullery, Kinnear, Robertson, Greaves, Gilzean, Mackay, Venables, Saul, Jones, Chivers, etc.

Missed out on seeing the great Danny Blanchflower play.

Jimmy Greaves was one of the finest finishers I've seen.
