What do you want to buy...

Tying in with what the common vibe seems to be here, I'd love more time with family and friends, more time to travel and create new experiences. What I do want to buy is a place by the seas, have wanted to have an ocean view since I was a kid and my aunt used to take us to the North coast of NI. We'd fantasise about which of the houses we'd live in when we were older and that's still the dream now.

When I was a kid my Nan and Grandad had a bungalow at Flamborough Head overlooking the sea. It was amazing to wake up with the view of the sea and to hear the waves crashing on the beach, or to lie in bed on a night listening to the sea with the lighthouse flashing through the window. Nothing like it

That's exactly the dream, swannie, there is something about the sound of the ocean that is therapeutic. Hard to beat

It's so nice to see most of us are settled in our latter years, I guess that's all we can hope for, everyone has a different outlook on life, but as long as we have ben happy for the most of it, I guess that's all we can ask for.
Now what do I want to buy? A drug that controls my illness? No ! I've had some great times when I've been manic....
More time maybe, not that I'm planning on dying soon....but you never know
I guess the one thing I would buy is, if I could was more time with my son, who was killed 3 years ago

In todays world with the pursuit of stuff, 5% mortgages, PCP car finance and pay monthly everything I don’t mind saying I’d be in a complete mess without my wife, she is the complete opposite of me with money, shrewd not flashy, averse to debt and obsessive about saving. I always want to buy something, don’t really pay attention to what things cost and have a very relaxed approach to debt, so what do I want to buy? Everything! Frustrated when folk have things I don’t, but I’ve realised there is no end in that pursuit, no happiness just envy and misery and for some a very real depression. I’ve worked on tempering my proclivities to live within my means and as many have said already experiences and making memories are what matter, not shunning ambition but finding contentment.

Ah the sea. Always remember our family holidays every year to Borth in Cardigan Bay. The sound of the sea up on the shingle in the morning. Waves crashing up near the back of the house in a storm. What is it about the sea, could sit and look at it for hours.
