Hopefully all the tributes from the players will put to bed some of the ridiculous nonsense about him losing the changing room etc.

It is a sad day and not many managers will have been sacked for picking up only 1 point in their last 5 matches despite creating more chances in the opposition in 3 of those. I hope at some point Bielsa finds a team with players that take the luck/chance factor out of results and win when they should. He doesn't deserve the sh*t he had to take from supposed experts in the media. A class man from start to finish.

I'm a bit underwhelmed by the tributes. Alioski's was nice as he's no longer at the club, and Kalvin put a little thought into it. But it's as if the others didn't give it more the 2 minutes. And like the owners none of them put their own hands up and say they should bear some of the blame, none of it seems particularly heartfelt. Maybe they'll open up a bit more in the coming days.

A nice message from Pablo Hernandez too - on instagram but I don't know how to paste it so hopefully someone else can. Hopefully puts to bed the nonsense about a fallout there too.

We should never have let him go

His energy and his ability to pop up with a goal or an assist was invaluable.

Not to mention his nuisance factor.

We miss you Ali

So should we keep Klich for next season?

Lets see... yes. After using my tardis and popping along to May 2023 seeing that that guy we brought in for next time to replace him was covid/injured/crap I call 100% tell you letting him go is a mistake...

Ali didnt want to play for us. Ran down his contract.
Some get on as if we got rid, he went for the money and fair play.

Imagine the howls of derision if he was on a new improved contract and was part of the calamity that we have witnessed this season. Or even that he was kept on with a new 3 year deal, how old is he?

But remember this HE benefitted from the huge bonuses last season and still moved on.

The problem wasn't him moving it was that Firpo hasn't worked out.
Marsch OUT

Football has undergone a process of bielsification; pressing and possessing, passing rather than dribbling, intercepting high up the field rather than making last-ditch tackles, are in vogue.

Marcelo Bielsa. The light that will never go out.

It wasn't so much that Alio didn't want to play for us but more that he couldn't be guaranteed a starting place that led him to leave.
The same will happen with Gelhardt Summerville and Cresswell to name but a few as they are being poorly utilised at the minute.

6 goals & 9 assists from Ali as opposed to 11 yellow cards from our current LB. Would have cost much less if we had offered him a higher salary.

Any senior player was guaranteed a place more or less in our small squad over the last four seasons.
