Apparently Alioski is quitting the club , might be back at ER for a season, better than firpo, but, once he's gone, shouldn't come back imho, just because he was a giggle there should be no sentiment whatsoever.

Bad day for him when he left, he was a driving force in the team and his enthusiasm was contagious. But I think he wanted a new challenge and possibly a pay day. I do think it was his decision to leave and we accommodated that. BTW it took him 2.5/3 seasons to settle to that LWB role, bloody awful defensively for the first 18 months at least

I did like the mad little ba***rd, but when you set aside any romantic notions, returns rarely work. I'd imagine he was on a tidy weekly in Turkey, something he'll likely want matching wherever he goes next. Can we afford to do that for a player that would be nothing more than a squad player? (with apologies to Cjay!!)

I think he was the sort of player Bielsa loves despite not being anywhere near the finished article. A player that would give everything and then give it all again, always be looking to improve and willing to listen.

I'd have Alioski back ina heartbeat. He was the heartbeat of the team.

100% er plus some, i loved him, not the most naturally gifted but he produced some quality at times, a player every manager likes to have around, i bet sometimes Bert thought ..."what the fcking hell is he doing up there"...after he'd scored a goal!!

A chicken with no head on sometimes, but it worked ! I'd have him back in a heartbeat especially instead of Firpo...Bert wanted an improvement on Gianni and Orta brings him Firpo !!...Tbh though i really don't think it would work anywhere else for him without Bert players around him.

Dallas has been a huge miss just for his versatility. He is the james milner of our team.

Dallas is the guy i would need to apologise the most to, the amount of stick i gave him on other forums pre Bert was terrible, then he just got better and better and better and i held my hand up and had him as player of the year more than once, the transformation was incredible.

The fitness of an individual is the key element for me when they are with Bert, and i bet the majority of Bert's players are currently seeing that for themselves.

I played every position in the defence, but i remember my best spell like yesterday, i've always worked in the construction industry and during the weeks when the clocks went forward we had a lot of postponed winter games to catch up on, so i would be working Mon-Sat and playing 6 games a week, Saturday afternoon games were catching up on Monday and Weds nights at 6pm and Sunday league matches were catching up on Tues and Thurs nights.

I was absolutely shattered and taking paracetamol till they came out my ears, it only lasted for about 3-4 weeks, but i remember turning out on Saturdays after it like it was a stroll in the park, i was getting forward from CH none stop like Franz Beckenbauer, corners, free kicks and bringing the ball out of defence whilst pushing up whenever it allowed.

The fittest i've ever been in my life, aged about 22.
