Sea view on the North Coast of the IoW, that's Pompey and the Spinnaker in the distance. Madam wants a new kitchen so we're down meeting her designer and I'm getting a first look at the work I'll be doing.

I know I've been to St Ives when I was a kid and in the 90's but can't remember much about it. Would I be right in thinking there is a large hotel (where we went for lunch once) overlooking the bay, it was opposite a narrow lane that was at about 35 degrees ( and steep) to the main road? I'll ask my Dad later if he remembers the name of the hotel.....might not have been St Ives at all of course

Just googled Pedn-Olva 64. That has to be the place :) I remember the stunning views and the fact it was a bit out of town....and the steep path down opposite. it was in the early 90's so the interior has changed quite a lot :-D

Often walk up that narrow street passing the Pedn-Olva, had a meal there a few years ago.

A beautiful sunrise taken from one of our apartment windows.

You wouldn't be up early enough to see this early morning glory, Swannie

High tide in St Ives

The boats were more or less level with the harbour quay road/pavements

The Kitchen going in is well out of my league to work on tbh.. I don't do electrics or gas.... I do everything else, The kitchen coming out is only 5 yrs old, high end and will be heading to Devon to a friend of my sister at some point...
