A few positives and negatives in equal measure, we need to get the system sorted, don't look too good at this stage, have to remember, there are far too many changes , the shite refs and pitch today.
CF & LB my biggest concerns.

Not great vs Palace reserves.
Better 1st half, 2nd half looked very disjointed. At times the defence was far to open especially on the break, bad organisation.
Creativity is a real problem to, we are playing wingers out of position and it doesnt work.
Midfield as well looks light, take out Roca and it doesnt look great.
Lots of players look very rusty, Bamford, Rodrigo, James, Klich, Aaronson, Struijk, Forshaw.
Hjelde did ok, Kristensen at times, Summerville at times, Gelhardt at times, Llorente, Koch, Roca, Adams.
But this team is still atleast 4 players short imo.
Striker, Creative midfielder, another central midfielder and a left back.
Concerned because i dont like the amount of square pegs, the wingers in a formation that doesnt use them, Harrison at left back, Greenwood now apparently is a 6 ( he definitely isnt)
We have a squad overloaded with wingers and a manager who doesnt use them but uses creative 10s and we havent got any.

Distinctly 2nd best for most of that 2nd half especially towards the end. We are once again shown to be very susceptible to speedy counter attacks mainly due to some powder puff tackling in the build ups to the counter. Too much disruption in players for the second half but that’s what “friendly’s” are for I suppose, lucky to get a draw in the end.

Cause for concern two weeks ahead of kickoff. If we’re getting a headline striker it better happen pronto.

Why would Leeds have Klich as last man? It was like someone had given him a shot of Ketamine!!!
Darko Gyabi should go out on loan
Wow, do we need a striker!!!!

Happy with that, Klich looks like he’s getting back to the Klich of old, Rodrigo decent, Summerville dangerous, Gelhardt excellent, Aaronson creative, great engine on Adams. I have a tactical issue with the very high press, we’re getting too close which is what Marsch wants but allows our defenders to get turned too easily or just commit fouls

I was left thinking a lot of the issues from last season are raising their heads again. The way we were so open at the back for their goal is very worrying. Adams and Aeronson gave the ball away a lot and still CF and LB positions to resolve. Injuries starting to become a problem again, Sinisterra will probably miss the start of the season now.
Best positive for me is Marc Roca, he seems strong in the tackle and shows good distribution. Kristensen not so good today, but is still a good buy I think. Overall though I see another tough season ahead.

Pretty inevitable we are going to be in for another relegation scrap this year...Just from looking at the incomings and outgoings let alone our dismal friendly form

2 week ends before the start of season still need a STRIKER decent 20 goal a season bloke, a LB one that know the premier league and still need a CREATIVE midfielder. looking a little light for our first game against Wolves. This is definitely Jesse Marsh's Leeds United there will be no excuses.

1 goal (a soft penalty) against an average Villa and Palace reserves says it all. Not liking the system and no punch up front . Relegation battle again.

I haven't seen this match yet, and I'm wondering if i should bother.
Reading through the comments on here it sounds like one to miss.

I think Bielsa scouted Costa. After all, he was here for a year on loan before we bought him.Victor_Notts-17 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 11:32 am What has that got to do with anything? Stupid question! If our scouts recommend him/Costa/Firpo we need to sort out the way we scout...

Problem seems to be we have replaced what we lost, not like for like but maybe enough and upgraded in some areas. But we haven’t yet recruited in the areas we were missing last year which is a technically gifted midfielder, a striker and a left back - we have all said it enough but it must be addressed in the next week or so.

We desperately need adequate cover for Bamford. It will be a minor miracle if he regains his previous good form, and another minor miracle if he avoids a relapse and can start enough games next season.
What about a cheeky bid for Danny Ings? He is not first pick at Villa.

Not another season without a top striker 1 - 1
Nunez comes on for Liverpool and scores 4 WOW .

He's supposed to be on £120k pw at Villa. Compared with Bamford on a rumoured 70 to 75.WestgateRun wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 4:29 pm What about a cheeky bid for Danny Ings? He is not first pick at Villa.
