Absolutely wonderful!

We were sat on the front row in a very tiny auditorium, we were in touching distance of the band.

I couldn't sleep in the few hours we had, I'm still buzzing this morning.

After the show, we were chatting with the band particularly Amy (green eyes) Boone & Willy Vlautin outside the theatre, lovely down to earth people, meeting them made my night

Will post up some photos after our Tesco shop.

Beautiful, soulful, atmospheric and heartfelt all the things we love about The Delines and what we've come to expect from every single release. Willy is a master songwriter of the utmost quality and Amy's vocals are just mesmerising!

Every album better than the last, such poise, unhurried and delivered with heart and humanity. The world as we know it may be ending, I am glad I heard The Delines before it does.

This is a really, really beautiful song.

Sublime. Amy's vocals to Willy's bitter sweet short stories are so evocative and memorable, and the new richer horn arrangements are the perfect backdrop.

Turn off the lights, open up a bottle of red and get lost in The Delines Gulf coast tales.

Beautiful people, aren't they? We did a double header in Winchester on The Imperial tour and spent an afternoon drinking and chatting with Amy and Freddie "The Falcon" Trujillo. Also met Willy a few times. They're just really really lovely, down to earth folk.

As we walked out of the Pocklington Theatre, Jill & I were over the moon to meet & chat with Amy & Willy, they are truly lovely people, it was like chatting with good friends. A band who deserve every success in the future!

Have you listened to The Sea Drift' since you mentioned your disappointment on one of our other music threads, Hector?

Sea Drift is my most played album in a very long time, a real gem imo!

Amy Boone has to be one of the finest female vocalists around in the modern era, the clarity of her voice is gorgeous.

I love all three albums, played them regularly in the car on our holiday last week, each of their albums are better with every play.

Can't wait to see them live again :)

You know my policy of listening to new albums at least half a dozen times.

Some of the great albums are the ones that grow on you.

Glad you've enjoyed The Delines music, Dave

My top 6 songs, love the whole album, the two trumpet instrumentals are hauntingly beautiful.

1. Past the Shadows
2. Surfers In Twilight
3. Kid Codeine
4. Drowning In Plain Sight
5. Hold Me Slow
6. Saved From The Sea

Willy Vlautin's songwriting is up there with Richard Carpenter & Amy Boone's voice as beautiful as his sister Karen. The Delines are the best mellow group since the Carpenters imo!

Sadly they won't be as popular due to the fact that 6 music are the only radio station likely to air their delightful songs, oh & the Carpenters had more of a commercial appeal.
