I know I’m well wrong. I thought the train strikes would affect attendance. But it was clear from yesterday Southampton don’t have many fans who have to travel.

I didn’t see huge gaps so the guys who selected towards the higher end will be right IMO

What was it like sat amongst the Saints fans, Flop?

They were a miserable bunch. No singing & they only left their seats when they scored.

They did a lot of moaning about Ralph & the fact he needed to go. Ironic comments when he made his changes, as the one next to me had been calling for them right from the kick off.

I told them I was Leeds as although I exercised considerable restraint I knew if we scored I wouldn’t be able to sit impassively. There were a lot of kids in the area so I felt totally safe.
