Album of 1984 (Round 3) - RESULT

[1964white]

Messer Chups - Visiting the Skeleton in the Closet.

Wowee! this is different, hooked on my very first listen

[The Subhuman]

Earl Sweatshirt 'Sick' Durly
Delines 'The Sea Drift' 64
Yard Act 'The Overload' Mrs 64
King Hannah 'I'm not Sorry, I Was Just Being Me' Faaip (nice discovery this, cheers)
Mavis Staples 'Carry Me Home' 1304

It gets better with every listen too and it's a corker from the outset. I kept expecting it to fade as I listened through but it never did. A mark of a top album for me.

[The Subhuman]

Not yet, I was on the island last week. Don't think there was a better album last year either or the year before...

[1964white]

Glad you liked it! It was only a semi-serious nomination. Check out some of their live videos, though, and give Held By Trees a listen.

Will do

[The Subhuman]

That's getting back into Hedvig territory, for me.

Also good, been on my rotation for a while "Ding Dong You're Dead" as has "The Silver Threshold" by H&P, Paint the Roses, Larkin Poe live... Aloa Input's effort I also like a lot for some reason, all from 21

KH edges it though

[The Subhuman]

Playing Brudunell social club in Jan

Maren Morris album is nice, James.

Now I can see why you gave The Delines a vote

yeah she's a talent Leon

Never heard of Maren until you nominated her album, that applies with a lot of modern music as I don't listen to 6 music enough & other media whom are likely to play new artists.

In the minority, but I think Yard Act are one of the worst things I've heard Mind you, I feel the exact same way about Idles and they're ridiculously hyped up too.
