Saw that as well Jay. The cricket crowd were superb not to mention the lovely lady singing the National Anthem. I was worried for her though, that she remembered to say King instead of Queen. She did a grand job.....
Yep, football bosses will be kicking themselves now I would think, and to be honest, I'm not sure the games will go ahead next week.
She did a good job under pressure Swannie.
Thing is the Queen liked a laugh & sport like most of us, just can’t see her saying “oh I want all footy called off when I die”.
Sometimes you just need to think clearly and realise the potential for a fantastic tribute that could be done before each game.
And if they don’t go ahead next weekend what on earth has that achieved.
Anyway I’ll shut up about it now

I’m guessing no footy next weekend again?
They'll play next weekend, funeral won't be till middle of the week at the earliest (not the week coming) Mid week matches, day of funeral should be rescheduled. And for that includes European games imo

No Monday games so I imagine our game v Manure will be on.
Meetings ongoing due to Police Officers being required in London at the weekend and on Monday. Officers from other police forces will be drafted in, depends I suppose which forces are brought in. If its Manchester police then the game could be called off.
I don't think it will be a blanket cancellation of games like it was this weekend

Good info Swannie.
I’d just as well get it over with. Bound to be a battering
Fair play to "celebs" like Sharon Osbourne, Susanna Reid and David Beckham who all lined up and waited like everyone else to pay there respects to The Queen.
Beckham apparently turned down a media pass or whatever and joined the line at 2am and got in to pay his respects about 12 hours later.
Susanna Reid went with members of her family including her Mother and waited almost 8 hours.
