Cant understand the people wanting Bechhio left out he is the only scoring on a regular basis at the moment just maybe you could change it around when McCormack and Somma return but untill then leave it alone is my take.

But he has been awful of late...really needs to up his game...controlling a football efficiently would be a start

I'm not denying his goal-scoring record...just expect a bit more than the minimal contribution he has produced in some of his games of late. Had Luci held onto the ball more efficiently maybe we wouldn't spend so much time with our backs against the wall, i don't know how many times our moves have broken down once the ball is played to Becchio, very frustrating !

We aren't creating chances - result, Becchio can't score. He doesn't make his own chances like Beckford did. He is a Gallump at times but he needs the team to play up the pitch with him. Unfortunately safety first football means we spend most of the time in our own half/in or around the half way line or in the last third on the left where Diouf shows he's a better player than Steven Gerrard and the game slows to a crawl and he draws a foul. Diouf now falls over as much as Becchio you will surely have noticed. Becchio needs service.

Agree Becchio does need the service, he is a box player...once he is between the halfway line & the box Luci is ineffective. Becchio's other asset is he defends well at set-pieces against us....Warnock needs to find a way where Luci spends more time in the oppositions danger area than our own box !

No one breaks rank in a Warnock team. Defenders don't make extra men in midfield. Fullbacks don't overlap. Midfield players don't end up in the box in numbers. I don't like Wingers but Becchio does. Without them or overlapping Full backs we are left with set prices and shots from distance. It works (is functional) but it ain't pretty and it doesn't help Becchio.

Charlton fans think Powell cautious and wil play 4-5-1. I didn't realise Charlton are chasing their third successive away win so 3 points wil not be easy. Fortunately they struggle to keep clean sheets despite the manager's caution. Given that Colini is ultra cautious I inderstand why it's a category C game. Nothing to suggest that this will be an expansive game which will have us on the edge of our seats. Still we need to be beating Charlton at home if we have an appetite for the high life. I expect to grind out 3 points.

I am expecting a win at home to be honest.

After the weekends disaster of a game, we really need to step up. Hopefully Warnock will get it through his thick head to at least play players in position. It would make us a lot more sound.

Style will never change, I can live with that ( ), but we need to get some stability in the team.

Agree, not looking like a classic is on the cards.
We really have to win these games if we are to have any chance of making the top 6, forget Tuesday night hoodoo's this should be a comfortable win but I fear it won't be.

If we play like we did for the bulk of Friday night's game, we'll be lucky to get anything from tonight. But you're right, these are games we should be winning if we are to stand a chance of making the play-offs. Play players in their natural positions, loosen the shackles (though not to the detriment of the team's shape) and we should be too much for Charlton. On current form, however, it's likely to be a somewhat fortunate win by a single goal.

As evidenced by my standing in the predictions league, I'm no tipster, so perhaps we'll actually have a comfortable mid-week romp

Warnock said yesterday on LUTV that it is doubtful if Peltier will be in the squad for this game.
