How our fans can say we deserved a draw is beyond me :? yes we were better but surely we couldn't perform any worst than we have done in 2014. We created very little upfront with no shots or headers on target  I always say mistakes win matches in the main & we gift more errors than most clubs in the championship, we present at least one gift in almost every game. Today it was Butland's turn as he fumbled his lines, to be fair our defenders allowed Waghorn to run across our box & get his shot in with considerable ease, nothing new there. If we don't create chances & defend like chumps we deserve nothing !
I did actually say if we bettered my & 3-1 prediction we'd do well

Massive praise to our fans for creating one of the best away atmospheres of the season, even the Wigan drummer boy joined in drumming a cool beat to our songs :

And now you're gonna believe us the Football League's corrupt :sing: :sing:

Butland - 4
Wootton - 6
Lees - 6
Pearce - 6
Warnock - 6
Byram - 6
Tonge - 7
Brown - 7
Hunt - 5
Smith - 4
McCormack - 4

Poleon - 6

Cellino do us all a favour & start handing out the P45's

And when the midfield did get the ball today going forward, Brown clattered someone - or Tonge passed the ball back towards our half, usually resulting in a Wigan player picking it up
At least he is no soft touch, broke their play up as defensive midfielders should do. Probably our best player today

Who you on about Leon?
Brown was a whisker away from a red card before ½ time!
Tonge is to our midfield what Lees is to our defence. Get the ball and panic! At least Lees hoofs it forward. His (Tonge's) panic back passes today would have cost us, if we'd been playing a decent team. Only thing Tonge broke today was possibly a polished fingernail.

I was relieved that Brown wasn't sent off. Did a good hatchet job today.

I agree with the little old man re Brown, only speaking from a telly viewing persona of course (oh hang on, same as Twiggs then lol) :bear:
I'm going back to 505, I saw them at Sheffield and they were amazing.

Why the hell did Brown get that pointless booking by fouling Gomez on the touch line when the ball was going out anyway?

He is brain-dead.

He should have been booked before that too.

Bite is no good if it isn't combined with basic intelligence.

For a start - neither Tonge or Brown deserved a higher rating than Pearce or Byram. 5 at most for them and Pearce and Sam 7's.
Sixes across the back line is utterly laughable, Leon. Only Pearce was worthy of anything over 3. The rest were crap. A big 7 for Pearce.

Just shows how fans at the game have no idea as to pitch action, compared to those watching on tv - even without replays, we get a better view.

Our defence was under less pressure due to the shift Brown & Tonge put in.

I base my review on how I see it from the stands

Btw I forgot to add I didn't think Wigan were as good as I expected them to be, on paper their line up is much better than our lot, there'll still be a force in the play-offs as they know how to grind out a result !
