Agreed, fans need to be realistic. It's going to be a long, hard season and we'll do well to make it to the play-offs with the quality of the players we have. While ever Bates remains at the helm it's going to be tough. We we're outclassed last night and we can't afford class.

Never heard so much crap from some people.

We have a win over Wolves and the main verdict is we have a decent team and we can see ourselves going places this season. We have a loss to a decent Blackpool side and everyone jumps ship.

We may not have the most glamorous side, but they will do a job. Even the best get beaten from time to time (hate to reference Scum, but look at Monday).

I am all for everyone having an opinion. That's great, but when you turn around in 3 days and change your attitude towards the playing group and the manager because of one loss, you are absolutely bonkers.

Yes, we need to improve and yes I think we are a little way off where we need to be. However, we are a young side (in terms of games played together) and it will take time. Wolves and Blackpool down and we come out with a win. Not ideal, but I would say decent also.

Some people have he same views as Saturday, even if they are negative and that's fine, but he people who are jumping ship so quickly, need to get a grip. Seriously.

This game only highlighted what we knew didn’t it?

We know we have a fairly solid team which is capable of defending better than previous years, fighting until the end and catching teams on the break. We knew, didn’t we, that this team was not going to compete with the likes of Blackpool. They are a well balanced team, with pace and were the fourth best side in the league last year, they will be one of the contenders for automatic places this year. We don’t have the pace or creativity to play like them, to compete in the challenge for automatic promotion places. But there are four play-off places and I still think we can challenge for one of them. More quality is needed, but we know that, Warnock has said that. Let’s not get down after this one result, we should get three points against the Posh on Saturday, if we done then I might get worried.

Yes we were well and truly mullered last night, I listened to the full match commentary and it wasnt pleasant - we were lucky to escape a thrashing BUT seriously are people expecting LUFC to destroy all before them ?!

It's basically a brand new team made up of, due to the continuing financial constraints of the lack of takeover activity, young academy players and championship journey men. Blackpool will be in the top 4 for sure this season, they have a settled side and still have the luxury of the parachute payment money meaning they can attract players on far higher wages than we can meet at present.

It's been clear to us and to NW for weeks that this side lacks3 real star players - unless we get the influx of cash needed by the takeover, we will have to live with what we have.

One area however that does disappoint me, and I mentioned this having been at the Shrewsbury game, is that we are far too reliant on pumping up the ball to Luciano and for him to hold the ball up. If, like last night, he is unable to do that successfully (unlike Saturday) then we are really struggling as there is far too much of a gap between the midfield and attack. The reason why there is not enough pace in the squad

However I do have sympathy with the gaffer on that - pacey players come at a premium - you dont get the likes of Beckford, Maynard, SWP, etc etc for the type of funds that NW has had to play with unfortunately.

We have to pray that the takeover happens and happens before the transfer window as that its our only chance of adding the " icing on the cake " i.e. getting those special pacey players. If we dont, then I am sorry but there will be games like Blackpool last night but we will just have to hope that there are more games like the Wolves one !!

You just have to look at the Woves result from last night to show how good 3 points were against them. We were away and I mirror all of the comments that suggest they are favs to go up. If we are putting in the same performances in 5-6 games time, have a moan then!

Before then I think we should get behind the boys in white and look forward to our next game and hopefully a 3 points!

Reality check after last night, but we only lost 2-1 against one of the top teams. We may have been out played but that is a settled well managed team we came up against, just wait untill we take them to Elland Road!!
We played well against Wolves for long periods, so we do have what it takes to preform, we have a good manager and solid players, lets keep the head down work away and see where we end up in May, I bet it wont be too far off Blackpool

This started in February - not last night. Our form is relegation since Colin arrived. I have seen every home and a few aways in that time. He mocked the players he had and changed them for old boys [he knew] and old boys [looking for a last decent pay day] and in Diouf something from a different world altogether. A shocking strategy - I have never wavered in my opinion on this. Short termism at a club like LUFC is simply a recipe for wasted years.

On Saturday players were over marked on here. I said so after the game - 7/8 shots were not warranted imo. Wolves were poor and yet we couldn't get out of our own half in the second half. I have not changed my mind since Saturday - we were poor on Saturday and worse last night. We were also lucky to come out of the Shrews game with a win - Shrews were the better side for long spells but lacked a cutting edge [thankfully].

Blackpool were excellent last night - Phillips was immense. We were just the same as Saturday but against a better team so we looked worse. We have no offensive midfield whatsoever. Thankfully this is largely irrelevant cos Warnock doesn't use one.

I'm negative cos things are bad. I'm normally one of the most positive posters on here. I look for the silver lining. There isn't one. Heart was missing. Passing was missing. Energy was missing. These are things we have a right to expect even in old tired legs. In the end Colin resorted to playing Pugh - a bloke he is trying to push out of the door. Warnock - man manager. Don't make me laugh.

We're supposed to be favourites for promotion. We're supposed to be heading straight up under Warnock, the fact that Blackpool is a good team is not a relevant excuse for being outplayed. We are supposed to be one of the best.

We were mullered by all accounts by a VERY good championship team, yet looked as though we could sneak it up until 75 minutes. Imagine the team last year in that situation. We are only going to get better I can absolutely guarantee it!

Again, this team needs to Gel together and it works the same way at any level. You could have 11 Superstars playing together yet it would take a bit of time to gel.

We are missing the bit of quality required to get us out of this division, I agree with that. However wth a few shrewd signings in the loan market (providing the takeover is happening) and we could be up there. Sounds ike we are lacking pace.

We were taught a footballing lesson last night from a team that Holloway has built over the last four years. They are the Brazil of the championship, plenty of pace, great movement & slick passing. Ince is the star of the show with Taylor-Fletcher, Baptise, Gomez, Mattie Phillips & the 40yo Kevin Phillips shining for the Tangerines, all far too good for our new team. The Leeds fans were singing "you're too s..t to play for Leeds" when Crainey was on the ball, sorry lads you got that wrong one too as he strolled through the game like an old pro he is. Apparently the Seasiders play the same way home & away & according the Shaun (Blackpool fan) they are better team this year. So folks get your brass on Blackpool for automatic promotion, they could romp this league as i can't see many teams living with Holloway's boys on that performance.
As for Leeds we were clueless in midfield & upfront producing very little for our fans to shout about. Have to question Warnock's team selection, why was Peltier playing left back & White on the right wing ? what is it with managers playing players out of their natural position We struggled to put two or three passes together & as i've insisted from the word go we lack pace in the team. Needs to be addressed quickly !
The only consolation i can take from last night's game we won't come up against too many teams like the Seasiders thankfully & i'm expecting a much improved performance at Peterbro' on Saturday

unfortunately us knee jerkers and pessimists seem to have been on the money over the last few seasons.. it looks a poor squad on paper and even Warnock admits it lacks quality and depth. Not something he should be admitting publicly btw.

It will take time to gel, but even then the ceiling isn't that high.

I've read plenty of comments on here about the quality of players Warnock was bringing in, how they were proven top quality Championship players. How much better they were than the players Grayson brought in and the players who had left.
