Did post after his debut at Donny he had a left peg like Liam Brady, he reminds of Gary Speed a little too. Twiggs compared Mowatt to one of our legends Johnny Giles, if he is half as good as Giles young Alex is in for a glittering career

Good movement and understanding between our players too. Certainly McCormack and Austin seemed very free on Sunday.

How many great passes from Austin? Wonderful low cross field ball for McCormack's second chance. Similarly great ball up to McCormack before charging upfield to bury the resultant cross. While Mowatt's cross for Smith's second was a thing of staggering beauty it was far from his only great ball of the day. His pass for Smith's disallowed goal was beautifully timed and paced.

Passing has looked to be a weakness in Rudy's game up to this point. I hope this is a sign of things to come.

Im also liking the potential in Smith, yes i was expecting him to be the person to head in a cross from Mowatt. But his first goal slightly surprised me, he found the net with his foot, and his disallowed goal he smashed the net with his foot. Maybe he has more potential than we earlier thought?

Sorry but i cannot believe people who are liking young Mowatt to some of the games legends players who played all their football at the top level with top teams who played for their countries and in some cases managed them these players played at the top for many seasons and won medals and cups young Mowatt has not yet completed ten 1st team appearences if he is still doing in about three seasons times on a regular basis he may well be looked at along some of the greats but until then please leave him alone and think about what you are saying.

I don't think anyone is suggesting he's there yet, just that he has more potential than we have seen in any Leeds Academy product for a long time (Byram might be thought equally promising)

We certainly don't need a media frenzy like the current hyperbole about Januzaj, hailed as the saviour of western civilisation after half a game

its a shame Smith was marginally offside when he smashed the one in the top left corner it was a thunder bolt even the commentator got excited over it. haha

People may say the brum were a poor side but to be honest we made them look worse than they actually were, by punishing them and by our own good defending.
