His reactions or reading of the game to get to the ball first and clear it when Messlier parried a shot prevented Hudderfield having a tap in. Small moment in the game that could have turned into a turning point in the match if Berardi hadn't got there first.

It may be that Berardi wants to leave - at this stage in his career he will want to be playing regularly. It may be that the club are allowing him to leave on a free as a thankyou for him being a long serving player.

Wouldn't expect Berardi to be around after next summer.
Likely he would become surplus to what's needed IF.. Leeds United are promoted.
Great player though he'd not get it easy in Premiership.

I'd like him to stay. He's underrated, versatile, and brings grit to the team and the dressing room.

Left back, right back or centreback maybe but surely even Bielsa wouldn't play him as a keeper, or would he?

Berardi has been a fine servant to Leeds, he was one of my favourite players when we were crap!

I fully believe Marcelo had made Gaetano a better footballer & a very versatile asset to the squad, so much so I have his performance ratings down as slightly higher than our captain Liam Cooper whom has also had a fine season.

I can't help feeling that we need to be looking for a bit more quality in certain positions when our premiership campaign begins next August, thing is if Gaetano can't hold down a regular place in the championship how many appearances will he make in the premiership?

If Berardi is offered a new contract & decides to stay at Leeds I would have no problem with retaining his services

Not one to keep for me.

If it happens this time we will can not go into that league expecting our DFM to protect our CBs as much as we do now. Berra wont cut it.

Also he is a bit of an outfiield Kiko in his decision making.

No shame in letting him find a new club.

Only if we don't go up. We need to be ruthless if we go up and it would be a nice way to end his time here (if we go up).

I would keep him, would be a good squad player for another 12 months, but also if he wants away then let him go on a free.

Keep for me, apart from the fact I think he’s brilliant, whichever way this season ends he wouldn’t let us down and could do a job in the squad so it’s one less position we need to fill either way. I’d offer him a 12 month extension and I’m sure he’d jump at the chance, he’s earned a crack at the PL.

Gaetano Berardi has now kept 14 clean sheets in 21 Championship appearances this season. We've conceded just 7 goals in the 12 league games which he has started for us in 2019/20.

Will be very sad to see him go...6 seasons in this day and age makes him a legend for me. Shame he was converted to centre back so late, he's a natural

Deserves at least a year in the PL, he’s earned it.
