Just read that Motty was in his local pub watching city v Leipzig the night before he died and said he might be in for the United game. I wonder what happened to him . Maybe it was that thought . Very sad. R.I.P. Motty.

Wayne Shorter has passed away.

A brilliant saxophonist and composer.

Started with Art Blakey, played with Miles, and led his own quartet for 20-odd years.

Here's a link to a composition of his that appeared on Bitches Brew:

David Lindley has passed on. A true original and guitar master (along with every other kind of stringed instrument).

He had a hit with Mercury Blues, but he was far more than that.

Mercury Blues:

Johnson Boys, another song that really captures his essence:

Dick Fosbury has died, the 1968 Olympic High Jump gold medallist.
Probably the greatest innovator in any Athletic event, maybe in any sport.
The Fosbury Flop revolutionised the event, and is now more or less universally used

Gary Rossington, the last original member of Lynyrd Skynyrd has passed away.

One of my favourite bands, they’ve had some tragedy over the years.

Paul was a very funny man & passionate animal lover. Jill & I enjoyed his Battersea dogs & cats home programmes. His radio shows on Sunday evenings were relaxed, entertaining with his brand of humour thrown in until the BBC took the decision to cull the older DJs.

67yo is far too young to die.

I'm shocked

RIP
