Two positives/negatives today
Positives
Effectively we are better off even though we lost, still seven points clear with another game chalked off.
Pablo back next Saturday.
Negatives
Harris outwitting Bielsa again.
Possible Ayling injury.

We can't seem to play against this sort of team.
Passing was woeful.
Positives
No real damage done after yesterday's results
Positive we will need a new striker, right winger and a 10 next season.

Game gone
No worse off.
Showed our lack of creativity.
Nothing on the bench to remotely influence the game in a positive manor.

We are no worse off
Our squad got a full 90 mins under their belts
At last even the doubters must admit Bamford isn’t a Centre Forward
Negatives
Ailing maybe injuries
We lost against that shithouse anti footballing Harris
We don’t have a Beckford or a Chapman how many goals would those two have scored in this team

Re: Two positives/negatives today
Or even Roofe ..or Nketiah. Nketiah starts the season and he's on 25 plus by now and we're 15 points, at least, clear ..home and dry

Positives:
One game down but no worse off, getting back into competitive football
Debuts for Gotts and Poveda
Negatives:
KP's mistake cost us the game
Bielsa's refusal to make changes, even with 5 subs available

Re: Two positives/negatives today
The postives, as others have said, is that the gap has stayed the same and there is 1 less game to play. The teams below us will likely take points off each other so we just have to maintain our seasonal average to go up. The other positive is that although we lost it wasn't like we were ourplayed we dominated possesion and got into good areas and but for 2 mistakes and our poor final balls we would have won.
The main negative for me was the wingers. Awful crosses for the main part and Harrison reverting back to the player of last year by trying to beat his man too many times. There was a time in the second half when he'd beaten his man and bought himself time to put a cross in but then decided to come back and try to beat his man again and promptly lost the ball. I don't think Harrison's shot that hit Bamford was going to be a goal either as he hit it exactly where the keeper was diving towards, so if it didn't hit Bamford the keeper saves it. Composure was needed there to put it back from where it came and into the other corner of the net.
The match was similar to many this season in that we got into a part of the game where we were dominating but didn't create enough decent chances, and when we had decent chances our finishing was abysmal. That in a nutshell is why we haven't already secured promotion.
Oh well onto the Fulham game and if we beat Fulham all will be rosy.

Re: Two positives/negatives today
Positives - we played the game the way it should be played and controlled
Negatives - we didn't play well in attack when we needed to.
The only thing I didn't like about the way we played (style) was going for too many passes once we got into their box. Otherwise my issue (for want of a better word) was with the execution of our play, and not the way we played.
This style of play, this formation and this team has put us at the top of the table. No need to change that, just do what we did better, and we can do it. We have proved that all season (and last).

Positives
No ground lost on 3rd.
Our general play is still dominant.
Nobody there to sing "Leeds are falling apart again"
Poveda is alive
Negatives
Build up play from the back too slow.
Final ball is often haphazard
Doubts now back in both players and fans minds.
Hopefully the first two negatives can be worked on, and the third will disappear.

Cardiff failed to make a single touch inside Leeds' penalty area or complete a successful pass into the Leeds' box in the first half.
Negative
Cardiff have scored FIVE goals from FIVE shots on-target against Leeds this season.

I didn't make the 518 miles all round trip to watch that lethargic performance.
Saved me at least £85

I have no doubt that we would have won had we scored first. We should have won anyway, but didn't finish well enough.weasel wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 7:18 pm The postives, as others have said, is that the gap has stayed the same and there is 1 less game to play. Re: Two positives/negatives today
Positives
Still dominated the game (at least in terms of possession and general play)
Players looked fit
Negatives
Playing out from the back continues to provide us with problems. We gave the ball away in dangerous areas at least 5 or 6 times and were punished for it twice. Both goals were easily avoidable.
Same problems persist up front - lack of creativity from wingers/attacking mids, bamford is well bamford and seems to be getting even worse, just aimless punts into a box...bamford always seems to successfully be in the wrong position for the cross, the box is crowded out with 11 men due to our slow build up etc. etc. etc.

Our bench consisted of kids, defenders, no alternative striker & only one out of nine subs had scored goals for Leeds this season, Alioski (4 goals)
Subs on the Cardiff bench had scored 23 goals this season

Re: Two positives/negatives today
Now go work out how much time on the pitch their subs have had this season compared to ours..Difficult to score from the bench. Roberts, our back up striker, was on the pitch ..not playing as a striker

Re: Two positives/negatives today
That highlights our understrength squad in a nutshell. Bielsa needs to adapt fast if we get into the PL . A tiny little squad will be useless in that league , this season I think he's got lucky with just a few injuries here and there but the PL is a different class and he will be out of his depth with a small squad. The only consolation is they play 8 games less.1964white wrote:Negatives
