Local brewery: Luchador (near Palm Springs). I was there this afternoon and brought this lovely chili stout home. Yeah, I stole the glass too.
Nightmare on Date Palm (5.4% ABV).
2 hours until new year here. I may pop open another

Drowning todays disappointment with a far more satisfying Badger ‘Cranborne Poacher’

Been on the Landlord Dark recently. Taylor's best beer imo.

Re: Your Pint of choice this evening
Tim Taylor's anything is a nice drop
I'm off booze since Christmas. Liver count has gone up. Been diagnosed pre-diabetic but that is not a worry. Been hammering the painkillers for 4 years due to neuralgia but I'm just about off meds now. Paracetomol are known for f**king your liver and I've been on 16 a day for years (8 is the most you should have). I'm on 3 lots of meds for highblood pressure (max doses) but I'm coming off those soo as well. Been off work 14 month but going back this month (Royal Mail). Once I get doing my rounds again, I'll get fit again and lose this excess weight I've banged on. Diet has already helped since Chrimbo. Missing the odd drop but health comes first. I'm 58 this year and need to look after myself now. Once I now my liver is on the mend, I'll have a wee dram or two...

Not so keen on ordinary Landlord, or Boltmaker - too hoppy for me.

Definitely one for sipping... intense flavour, as you'd expect from the strength. Madagascan vanilla, apparently.mentalcase wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 11:03 pm Never had that sara, what's it like, I love my stouts, had a few saturday neet in Harrogate

Cat will know this one.
Best beer so far in Rotterdam. 6.5% but you’d never know it. Lovely gear.

Bradford Beer Festival tomorrow night in Saltaire, so I’ll be sampling plenty of different beers from all around the Country. I usually end up having a favourite on the night, so I’ll report back as to which was my “Champion of Champions” in due course. I prefer light and fruity beers and pale ales so it’s gonna be one of them rather than a dark beer or stout, which I suspect will be a disappointment to some on here, but there you go - each to their own!
