Re: Your Pint of choice this evening
i do not drink Beer, used to like cider but do remember going to the MD's annual house party 1 year, which was mainly directors of the company and sales people, i was the only finance person. The drinks game consisted of making up cocktails which you had to make and then drink, after hearing and seeing the bull s**t from the sales guys it was my time. I took a pint glass and filled it up with Vodka and then yes had to drink it.
Everyone left the boss's home that night, I had to stay the night as i just could not face the journey home even in the back of a taxi.

Crikey, I haven’t had a mild & bitter for years Used to be a favourite student pint I recall.

Same here, we used to drink it when the local had Home Ales, and both the mild and the bitter were rank, but mixed together they were just about tolerable.Muppet the Cat wrote: ↑Tue Apr 04, 2023 8:36 am Crikey, I haven’t had a mild & bitter for years Used to be a favourite student pint I recall.
The one pictured was really lovely though.

Re: Your Pint of choice this evening
A friend of mine recently did a brewery tour in York where it was pointed out to him that cans were better than bottles, as the light deteriorated the bottled beer.....I'm no expert just passing on info !Muppet the Cat wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 8:55 pm Yes, fair point….on this occasion.
Usually go for a bottle, but fancied trying this and no bottle option I’m afraid.

They line cans now don't they so the metal doesn't flavour the contents?

Re: Your Pint of choice this evening
My other half drinks the bottled non alcoholic Speckled Hen due to him being diagnosed with FND. It's one of the better non alcoholic beers to be honest. ( I know, not for the proper beer connoisseurs on here).....but where needs must and all that. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 10:42 pm How was the open mic?

Alcoholic free Erdinger is worth a try, it's a wheat beer. (Morrisons)
