Well, there’s no need to for total and utter despair just yet - The Athletic is coming to your rescue. With the help of their friends at Prostate Cancer UK, they will be putting on 31 football quizzes across February and March to find out who the most knowledgeable of their subscribers is - and of course to raise money for a very important cause. Prostate Cancer UK help fund lifesaving research and provide valuable support & information for men and their partners affected or worried about prostate cancer. They will be encouraging you to donate money on the night for a great cause.
The Athletic will be running a quiz for every team they cover, including Leeds United of course, plus one each of the Bundesliga, Serie A and La Liga. The winners of each quiz will go through to the grand final at the end of March, where there is a very nice £1,000 up for grabs and they will match this with a donation to Prostate Cancer UK.
The quizzes will be hosted by the correspondent for that club or league, with the Leeds United quiz hosted by none other than Phil Hay. You’ll be able to team up with anyone in your household to play. So check out the dates below, the Leeds United quiz is on 10th February, click on the link to sign up and please follow the instructions carefully. You’ll then get a link a day or two before for the big night.
Dates are below. Kick-off for all of them is 7.30pm UK time. Deadline to enter each quiz is 48 hours before it starts. There are 1,000 places for each quiz so get in fast.
