Shouldn't be forgotten though that the Leicester owners have provided £325million in funding at Leicester after purchasing.

They were sponsoring them for 3 years before the takeover as well.
Yep it's what happens when you're reliant on a sugar daddy and their money dries up. It could happen to many others in the league too.

One point from eighteen for the foxes.

Lost five games, conceding eighteen goals.

I was going to make a similar point. Wish we were playing Leicester now, while they're struggling.

But struggling teams always seem to bounce back against us.

Extended Highlights vs Brighton:

Leicester look like a shambles. A club in real disarray. They kind of look like the Everton from last season.

It's a surprise because I rate Brendan Rodgers as a head coach. But maybe he has a really short shelf life. Think of how he almost won the title with Liverpool then fell away the following season. In that documentary they did when he was at Liverpool he seemed like he was great with the youngsters. But he has a condescending tone and I'm guessing the senior players are only willing to listen to him for a short time frame.

It looks like they're going to be around the drop zone all year. They've got some quality players. But their transfer activity this summer was next to zero.

Schmeichel is a huge loss for them as Danny Ward looks like a Championship keeper. Fofana is another big loss and the fans have to be upset that they only spent a quarter of what they received for him. An aging Vardy isn't going to save them any more. They'll probably have to buy in January, but we know that the January window is not the best.

I'd probably place a bet on Leicester going down right now.

Even though the foxes have one point on the board, they have only failed to score in one of their seven games.......problem is Leicester have conceded 22 goals

Has losing Schmeichel & Forfana totally dismantled their defence?

Apparently Leicester are unable to sack manager Brendan Rodgers as it would cost them £10m to pay him off.

Are they really that skint?

£10m doesn't seem a lot in PL terms, especially as they received £70m for Forfana.

They lost over £120m last season. It seems like they're following our trajectory, miss out on Champions League football and the financial issues start appearing.

Rodgers is a good manager and won't be stuck for work.

He'll continue with the style he wants to play knowing that they'll get stuffed because tht's his way of sticking two fingers up to the board for not backing him, they have short memories and hopefully it backfires on them, good on yer Brendan.

Hopefully he gets sacked and paid off with 10m, they get relegated, and Rodgers goes to someone like Newcastle (doubt it)

He's a decent manager and plays decent football when backed, he'll be reet.

Fully agree Kennyboy  Rodgers is a top manager who's had the rug pulled from under his feet of late. Surprised the foxes didn't allow Maddison to leave in the summer, I have no doubt they'll sell him in one of the next two transfer windows.

Rodgers isn't blameless.

Leicester got him Boubakary Soumare last season for £18mil.

Jannik Vestergaard for £15mil.

Patson Daka for £27mil.

That was last season, all have failed to live up to expectations.

He also hasn't been able to solve there set piece issues, that again is on him.

He hasn't been able to find a way to win without Vardy.

That also would be his job.

Leicester are struggling financially now but he has been backed in the past and basic issues like those 2 above he hasn't been able to fix.

The losses of Schmeichel and Fofana are an issue of course this season but basic managerial issues are still down to him.

Main problem for Rodgers is he’s only 3’11” tall.
Most stuff just goes straight over his head

I saw their owners have taken out loans secured against TV money until 2025! How on earth would they pay back that upon relegation?

I hope Radz hasn't taken any ideas from his favourite club.

Parachute payments and player sales.

Radz has definitely done similar regarding loans secured vs TV money.

Can only hope he does it on a season by season basis I suppose.

It would be extremely naive to do it against TV money years in advance given our precarious Premier League situation?

Presumably given that Leicester haven't been near relegation really since promotion (6 points clear in 14th is closest) there owners felt secure.

Arrogant? Perhaps.

If we did the same it would be phenomenally naive.

James Maddison Premier League record.

39 goals 29 assists in 11122 minutes.
Goal contribution every 142.5 minutes.

Jack Grealish Premier League record.

19 goals 22 assists in 9530 minutes (2465 of those for the best team in the league)
Goal contribution every 244minutes.

James Maddison Championship record.

15 goals 8 assists in 3663 minutes.
Goal contribution every 159minutes

Jack Grealish Championship record.

14 goals 16 assists in 6424 minutes
Goal contribution every 214 minutes

How has Grealish seemingly managed to fool everyone into thinking he is this special player and convinced Man City to make him the most expensive player in Premier League history?

And yet James Maddison is struggling to get a sniff of the England squad?

Maddison has been levels above Grealish statistically in every League competition they have shared.

Not even close.

Don't get it.
