Raul Jimenez given all-clear to resume heading and is expected to return next season; Wolves forward will return to full training in July ahead of upcoming Premier League season and will play with a protective headguard for the rest of his career.

On the face of it a bit of a surprise, has been very successful (although feel he got a bit to much credit for winning promotion, look at the squad it would have been harder to not win promotion).

His style of play wasnt for me but cant knock his results at Premier League level and he seemed a very nice man and donated a large amount of money to charity.

Be interesting to see what happens with Wolves now given the Chinese government are not to keen on letting Chinese cash leave China anymore.

Could that Wolves squad be more attacking under a different coach? On paper they shouldn't be so dull imo.

Interesting, do they invest in a big name and shoot for the moon or go down the Alardyce route.

I suggest option two.

They have desperately missed Raúl Jiménez this season.

I'm thinking Kane leaves Spurs, Nuno becomes Spurs manager, Jimenez replaces Kane at Spurs.

There seems to be talk that while he found it tough being far from home in the lockdown, it was a case of jumping before being pushed. Many Wolves fans saying he took them as far as he could and they needed a change. They may regret that and realise they only got so far because of him. They could find themselves in real trouble next season.

Wolves are closing in on the appointment of Bruno Lage to succeed Nuno Espirito Santo as manager.

No agreement has been reached with the Portuguese, 45, who left Benfica last June after 18 months in charge.

But Lage has flown to England for talks with Wolves chairman Jeff Shi and technical director Scott Sellars.

It will be interesting to see how they get on this coming season. I think he managed Two 7th place finishes before the vultures started circling and then they lost their way a bit. Losing big players and not replacing them with the same quality must be frustrating for a coach.

Wolves are prepared to sell Portugal midfielder Ruben Neves for £35m to fund a rebuild for whoever takes over following Nuno Espirito Santo's departure.

Could be an outside bet for relegation Wolves.

Chinese owners cutting back on funding and selling the assets.

Seemingly a very inexperienced manager whose only achievement was winning trophies with the most successful club in his country and then equalled their worst ever set of results and was sacked.

Tbf this Mendes and Fosun stuff was bound to end badly eventually, Fosun were always going to cut spending eventually and Mendes was always just using them, think everyone knew that including Wolves fans.

Isn't there a change in the Chinese government policies, forcing companies/citzens to cut back foreign investments? Saw something a while back on that. Talk was any club with significant Chinese investment could have some money issues very soon.

Yeah i read that to.

Inter Milan are already in trouble even though they won the league.

They are owned by an extremely wealthy Chinese company same as Wolves.

Villa had issues when their Chinese owner cut funding.

Dont think the WBA owner puts money in either.

Chinese government doesnt want Chinese money leaving China any more.

Bruno Lage to Wolves is almost done apparantly.

Wouldnt be to impressed if i was a Wolves fan, very inexperienced, started very well but then went down hard.

Probably keeps the Portuguese contingent happy i guess.
