35-2 Leach gets one to straighten with his first delivery and traps Young plumb. NZ waste an appeal too.

NZ very lucky there, that looked out even on ball tracking.... think the 3rd umpire got one wrong. Nicholls should be gone for 4

Potts really unlucky so far 2 plumb LBW's fail to get decisions .... We rejected the chance to refer but blame must fall on the ump as that would have hit middle half way up.... These are both nailed on LBW's

Luck finally falls England's way. Nicholls drives Leach, hits the face of Mitchell's bat and ricochets into the hands of Lees ... at midwicket I think

Never seen that before. New Zealand seem to be unlucky with bat deflections. Shame its not Mitchell out since it came off his bat,

Yes never seen anything like that Nichols dismissal- unbelievable!

Honours even, I reckon, after the first day but had Stokes gone for the review on Mitchell, England could have been well on course for a 3rd victory already.

Potts should have three but Mitchell dropped by Foakes when the ball looked to be an easier catch for Root

Blundell didn't refer but wasn't happy... It seems the DRS system isn't working right now. Looks like it was missing leg

But surely if DRS is down the game should be paused until repaired because there's now bias

I was talking to someone about the red balls the other day. All of them are handmade and hand-stitched. They've brought somebody new in to stitch the balls and he doesn't stitch them tight enough. It means moisture get into the balls, so they get soft and lose their shape.
Well again, that needs to be sorted out
