Must be bad in this area as Jill has just been up the town to purchase & top up on toiletries/medicinal products. Calamine, antihistamine cream, bite spray, all out of stock in six stores.

My wife’s an astrologer, not sure if she’s ever talked about ancient astrology. I must ask

The midges haven’t been a problem, but the horse flies are massive & really go for it when I’m walking my dog along a bridleway that goes through a dairy farm. I think they must get bored with trying to bite the cows.

We have horses, pigs, cows & sheep around us.

Those horse fly bites are brutal, mate.

Talking of languages, my daughter is doing Spanish for GCSE and we have discovered an app called Duolingo. It's great for learning the basics, though I don't think it alone would make you fluent. Always thought having a second language would be a very useful life skill, and Spanish is, I believe, the third most spoken language on earth. The hope is I'll never have to speak English loudly and slowly to a Spanish waiter again!!

I speak a few languages, but it's English folk very often ask me to repeat what I've said, something to do with my Yorkshire accent.
When I'm abroad, it's common to hear the locals talking about us, not knowing I to listen what they say, Arabic has been very uselful over t' years.
