FA Cup 3rd Round

Post by SG90 »

Draw tomorrow evening at 8.

Who do you want? :duno: As long as we're not embarrassed by a non league or lower league team I don't care. Not like we will try anyway. I'd like a game that won't be in London or moved for TV.

I know its unrealistic but a home tie would be good. Against anyone ,I don't care.

Not bothered about the cups due to having holes in our squad plus our management don't care, so why should our fans care!

I'll attend if we draw a home game.

Last win in the FA Cup was Cambridge away in 2017!

Rotherham 3rd Round 2016 was our last home tie.

I was there :scar1

Wasn't good, Cambridge took the lead from their big coloured fella upfront, Leeds hit back to win 1-2 in the second-half with Alex Mowatt the star man scoring a goal & an assist for Dallas (I think).

Only young Alex & Pontus shone, Jansson won loads of aerial challenges & clearances.

A cup calamity avoided thankfully

Forget the exact numbers but its something like only 5 home draws in last 25 odd years in 3rd round. Crazy stat

Rochdale, Sutton & Newport finished me off, Swannie.

Since then, we've been outplayed by other world beaters such as Crawley, Hull, Stoke & QPR

Against Wolves, we fielded one of the weakest teams ever, with a bench as weak as p*ss.

Tell me a reason why I should be enthusiastic about Leeds United in the cups.

Carayol lit up a drab match with a fantastic strike, one of Bellusci's better games.

I was at Fleetwood when we beat them on penalties as yet another cup struggle.

As a kid, I loved the FA Cup, not any more!

I'd love to see us win it, but we all know it'll be the u21s and another defeat.

We'd struggle to win a cup with our first XI, no chance with a weakened team.

Without serious investment/ambition, I doubt we'll win any trophies in my lifetime.

Bring back the West Riding Cup

We have such a poor cup record going back a lot of years. Embarrassment piled on top of embarrassment .

I just cringe at this drawer.

I'd rather Premier League survival at the mo rather than a cup run SG. I dont think we have a deep enough squad to compete on two levels. Maybe once we get owners willing to invest in the right players.....
