Re: Relegation Watch 22/23
Very decent for us today.
Up to 14th with the best goal difference I'm the bottom 9.
Aston Villa 3-0 Bournemouth
Spurs 3-3 Southampton
Brentford 1-1 Leicester
So we've gained points on all 3 of them

Shame Leicester, Southampton and Everton grabbed a point. But I'll take today. More importantly Javi is showing that hopefully we can just take care of our own business and not worry about everyone else.

That's it for me, no point worrying about other teams. If we get 38 points and go down we will have been unfortunate. If we get 35 but stay up we'll have been very fortunate. Let's just get our points and what will be will be elsewhere.andrewjohnsmith wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 9:34 pm Shame Leicester, Southampton and Everton grabbed a point. But I'll take today. Re: Relegation Watch 22/23
West Ham's game in hand is Man City away, so looks unlikely they'll pick up 3 points.
Re: Relegation Watch 22/23
We are far from safe it's so tight down there a defeat and victorys elsewhere and we'd be back at the bottom of the heap. Obvious I know but we need to go on a run now to settle the nerves, over the moon with the win and 14th before the international break.
Re: Relegation Watch 22/23
The issue for me is we don't look good enough to get a result v the top 11, whereas the clubs around us are. That makes us entirely reliant on beating Forest, Bournemouth, Leicester, West Ham and Palace, and we're not winning all 5.
Re: Relegation Watch 22/23
Beat forest Leicester & palace at ER and I think we're almost over the line. Catch Liverpool on a bad day and there's another point. West ham away could be a point or 3 . Main thing is to win the 3 home games .

Re: Relegation Watch 22/23
You dont think we can get a result against top 11 sides ?
What about us beating Chelsea and Liverpool, drawing with Newcastle, Brighton and Man U. Not bad for a team that's struggled this season, in my humble opinion.
No result is entirely predictable but you just never know.
Re: Relegation Watch 22/23
Bielsa and Marsch both in the bookies' top 5 favourites for the Palace job. Is Bielsa just going to be linked with every job now lol?

Bookies begging for money, seems Hodgson is pretty much certain for the role.

Basically how I see it, we're an upper mid table team who had a really poor manager for way too long, despite my hopes he would see the light....

I do think West Ham will be fine

Dazzling Dave a well known Wolves fan who was livid at the Leeds game, but seem to changed his opinion once he had calm down & watched the highlights of the match again.
Anyway, he has predicted every result of the nine teams involved in the relegation battle (as if any of us could predict the future, we would all be millionaires!)
Dave kept repeating himself about not wearing rose-tinted spectacles when predicting Wolves results.
I do like how he calculated the PL table after each set of results.
He predicted Leeds to lose 3-0 at Arsenal & only a 2-1 defeat vs Citeh at the Etihad. To be honest he gave me the collywobbles with each table he highlighted.

Palace 2-1 Leicester
Wolves 1-1 Forest
Bournemouth 2-1 Fulham
Iffy set of results with 4 of our relegation rivals picking up points and goal difference on us.
