there's very very very few - look at the prem, there's maybe 2 or 3 teams that have owners like that, and I'm sure they're not 100 per cent in it just for the club
Just because he didn't do it purely for the love of Leeds, doesn't mean he's a parasite or that he was worse than ridsdale or that he's a bad person...Ridsdale took us from a top half prem team into a top 4/6 team...and then down to a bankrupt championship side, the mere suggestion that he is of better standing than radz is ludicrous sorry
Edit - I don't think anyone has ever thought Radz, a random Italian businessman, bought Leeds solely because of his love for Leeds United football club...not sure now why you're suddenly bringing that into question, when we were doing great you didn't seem to care that he might be profiting from it...

Not sure if the individual on here making his case for ' capitalists ' like Radz realises that 74% of UK businesses had no employees in 2022. In other words it's your one man operation plumber, builder, electrician, IT worker etc who set up a Ltd company or operate as a sole trader and call it a business. Believe it or not it's the lifeblood of the UK economy. There are about 5.5m UK private sector businesses, with 4.1m having no employees and 1,4m having employees. There are only about 8,000 large businesses with more than 250 employees.
And now that the club has been relegated and some of the club's staff will lose their jobs as a result, they probably wont regard Radz as a beneficent capitalist....

Well that's the DOF job sorted out, who's the next manager then Kenny wait let me guessKennyb41 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2023 12:45 pm And your posts are what exactly ?
Kennys are always fcking spot on, i have and will continue to always be more knowledgeable and spot things earlier that most.
Correct on the clown 4 years ago.
Correct on Radz as soon as he came.
Absolutely fcking nailed on Bert.
I could go on, but you're barely worth it.
Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 6th June) 49ers takeover expected this week
Good to see you waking up to the fact that Bert did absolutely everything for both Radz and Orta...CHAPELALLMAN wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2023 12:59 pm Of course owners of clubs are business people who love the attention and prestige of owning a PL club as well as the possible financial uplift when a club is sold, however I just don't like the way that he has so suddenly detached from the club and has had nothing more to do with the fans in recent weeks.
I also don't like the fact that he was so rank incompetent - he more or less based everything to do with the footballing side of things on the competence of Victor Orta. When he fnally saw the light and dismissed Orta it was all far too late.
We don't know yet what the longer term financial implications are going to be of paying way over the odds for the likes of Llorente, James, Firpo, Rodrigo, Rutter, Aaronson and Roca. We have already probably lost £35m on the JKA signing, for a player who was on the pitch for 50 minutes. . If the asset side of your balance sheet suddenly devalues relative to what you paid for those assets, then the liability side sooner or later may balloon when you eventually dispose of those assets. Plus all the monthly liabilities from their steep wage bills.
In our case the liabilities for buying players will be to the creditors who Radz will have taken out loans with which may well have been secured against future PL revenue. We don't know yet what the situation will be, as we haven't sold the assets yet, so we don't know how much they may have devalued. The signs don't look good based on what Roma have said about Llorente.
When Radz bought Leeds united we were a championship club. When Radz sells Leeds United we will be a championship club with some parachute payments. In the meantime we have accumulated a crop of players at what now look like vastly overinflated prices, and who aren't currently performing on the pitch. We don't have a DOF and we don't have a manager.
I know that some fans will be forever in thrall to Radz because of him being the owner when Bielsa was appointed - but I'm not one of them. At least with Risdale we finished in our best ever PL position of 3rd, with several 4th and 5th places on top. We were in two European semis in three years, including the Champions league semi. The way things are going that may be the last time that Leeds United were ever a top team in England's top tier, as well as being briefly a force again in European football.
And last but not least for LUFC whom he loved, and like i said years back along with Pep.....We would still be languishing if he hadn't arrived.
They got lucky, end of.

It's not just football - any golf fans on the forum will have been shocked today that the PGA Tours merged with Saudi backed LIV Golf - who for the past year they have tried repeatedly to vomit on.60sUnited wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2023 6:56 pm

And they didn't even tell the players who have supported them.
The ONLY people in sport who really care are the fans. Owners just see money - just a other business.
But the pendulum keeps swinging. I live in eternal hope that fans have their day....one day.

I am sunning myself in Croatia and trying all the local beers so not paying a great deal of attention to developments as I was getting bored with it all. Not even a sniff of a nearly moment. So this headline, which hasn’t been quoted on any mainstream news network that I know of actually indicates movement at Inertia Utd. Presumably there is no time scale for this proposed sale ?
I suspect there won’t be, and once the EFL are involved the paper shufflers will be ordering a new photocopier and box of paper lips. So on that point I will go and imbibe. 10 days left I doubt I will miss much.
