Can anyone tell me what was Hull's logic in wasting time when it was 1-1 and then showing urgency when 2-1 down. Considering they are a few points outside the play-offs surely they should have been going for all 3 points when it was 1-1? Why was getting 1 point, when behind, more important than trying to turn 1 point into 3. Retarded f*ckwits.

All very well saying its Farke's fault that we've looked below par in the last 2, but neither of our opponents had as big an impact from the international break.
No excuses, we were sluggish, but those were a tough two weeks for half our first team 11
At this point, its up to who can dig deep best and most often.

Phew!!!! That was far closer than we would have liked. Hull made it tough.
4 days to prepare now which will feels like a luxury.
Great team spirit showed. We don’t give up!! If Ipswich fans were watching I bet they were thinking lucky buggers ( like I was when watching their 97min winner).
Pressure is really on Leicester as the teams around keep winning. We are still playing catch up as it’s not in our own hands yet.

Their game plan was working, they carved out a couple of great chances playing that way and besides that, a point was great for them as their rivals all lost.weasel wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2024 9:09 pm Can anyone tell me what was Hull's logic in wasting time when it was 1-1 and then showing urgency when 2-1 down. Made sense at the time

Fascinating 2nd half. Brilliant movement and improvisation from Joseph, very unlucky. Also note his celebration when he wins a throw in in our half.
Penalty argument. Never seen that before. Very coolly taken in the circumstances.
Then James. Made that look easy. It wasn’t.
Farke keeps fiddling wins.

Ipswich just seem absolutely relentless at the minute.
I’ve never known a championship season where you can do unbeaten for months. And it still not cut the ice between 2nd and 3rd place

But they are 6 points behind 6th place. A point would be a good result for them isolation but would have done very little to improve their chances. The game was there to be won by either side at 1-1 but they took a minute to even try to take a goal kick (prior to Coyle going down). It was just ludicrous, a point for us was probably more useful to us than to them as we don't have a huge gap to close.

Quoting DD from the locked thread…
“Well Farke got it absolutely right. 100% on him if we lost according to some - so therefore 100% responsible for the win.”

It has been telling for sure and the side has looked lethargic at times. On top of a couple of key injuries, we've been stretched to the limit. We have shown resilience and ground out those results even when we're not playing well.malcolmw wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2024 9:11 pm All very well saying its Farke's fault that we've looked below par in the last 2, but neither of our opponents had as big an impact from the international break.

As I said earlier you don't necessarily get what you deserve. Good win but on reflection not really deserved based on they pretty much out played us. Score that counts though

There were also some changes in how we were playing - I think both teams decided it was time to put the skates on and seems it disrupted them but energized us.
Then again our manager made key changes at the critical time.

Reminiscent of the Leicester match in that last 15 minutes we showed our strength and blew the opposition away. Alwasy felt confident that we were going to find our groove and we did. Even playing poorly we created the best chances.

3 points is all that matters now - everything else is secondary.
