Re: Trump
All I can say in this moment is that we are witnessing history. And for the first time in my 64 years, including growing up in apartheid South Africa.... I am terrified.
I have a slight inkling of what my parents must've felt in 1939.

He seems to think he's god blessed now .... that's gonna be tough to deal with. He's gonna win a second term at a canter, anyone think he'll get a third?

Re: Trump
At least all the wars that are currently going on will be stopped in 5 minutes flat, and worldwide peace will break out.
That’s what Trump says anyway

Re: Trump
Our opinions or biases are formed by the media that we consume or the television channels we watch, if they are either right wing or left wing... whether it is the Daily Mail or the Guardian or our own political leanings.
You will hear compelling arguments from both sides, but ultimately you have to make up your own mind about a situation... and if you cite the wrong media source, it can be dismissed as too right wing or too left wing, or quote the wrong commentator then they can be laughed off as being unreliable, or a sex offender, or wanting to sell you colloidal silver.
The democrats have demonized Trump by taking him to court, painting him as a felon and saying that he is a fascist, or that he'll end democracy and it's best that he would be taking out. He's a Hitler and the world would be better off without him... and someone will surely rise to the challenge.
While the republicans are painting a picture that he is under God's protection since he survived an assassination attempt.
For others it is seen as a commercial opportunity as they are printing t-shirts of a triumphant blooded Trump standing fist raised and defiant. One Chinese entrepreneur boasting that he sold 2,000 t-shirts within 2 hours of having them printed.
It's the world's biggest circus and for that you need the world's biggest clowns.

Btw, quite simply these days, the right is too right, the left is too left.

Re: Trump
Emotional people are everywhere and they act as a hurd trampling over all before them. The individuals making up this violent hurd distance themselves from the violent act with each laying the blame on the collective others.
I'm no supporter of Trump but would never wish him harm. He speaks in short slogans and just like UK politicians, often never delivers upon these short promises. Empty words fall upon the deafest ears as this left, right paradigm marches us all towards an increasing police state and a million miles from where we all would like to be.
Trump is a part of the problem and I once believed he is the best of a bad bunch, but that's changed. The shooting looks like a major blunder from the opposition as Trump's campaign will milk this terror event for every drop it is worth, towards a landslide win for the Republican. Will Trump survive long enough to halt a possible clash between NATO and Russia and a limited nuclear exchange in eastern europe?

Re: Trump
Call me cynical but Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign is accepting cryptocurrency donations. His campaign now accepts various cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, Solana, and more. This move is part of Trump's broader strategy to embrace digital innovation and appeal to tech-savvy voters.
The decision to accept crypto donations follows a speech where Trump highlighted cryptocurrency as a significant issue in the 2024 race and promised to incorporate it into his fundraising efforts. This initiative positions him as a major party candidate actively supporting and utilizing digital currencies in his campaign.
It appears that attempted assassinations are good for the crypto market. The other coins Donald is accepting. Nancy did the earth move for you?

I like to trump but not in front of women, especially when it's their turn to "whisper"
Why can't somebody take a better shot at Putin ?

Because it is Putin who takes the shots... as many oligarchs can attest to.mentalcase wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 11:48 am I like to trump but not in front of women, especially when it's their turn to "whisper"

Yes on Revolut, but an insignificant amount. Joined revolut so my son could get a 60€ sign in fee... easy money for him. And Revolut makes buying and selling Crypto easy.
