Forgive me my friend, but is this the same “not watching” as in “not posting” again until we win, which I notice you haven’t stuck to?

As somebody once bigger than me said “don’t threaten if you’re not prepared to carry it out.” See you on Saturday.

I'm with Andrew here. I think (hope) this was an aberration (nice word that - I don't use it often enough 8-) )

Farke took total responsibility and I think his analysis was right - far too many changes to a line up that didn't do well in their last game.
Woulda, coulda, shoulda- no using hand wringing. We got it wrong tonight....
players and manager.
I will draw a line under tonight's performance (like shipping records - start after the Titanic!), and pick it all up on the weekend.

I wonder if Geo plays at the weekend.

Leeds live ratings, kinda says it all

Leeds United (4-2-3-1)

26 Karl Darlow

Fairly helpless for all three goals, though his goal kick went straight to Anfernee Dijksteel in the run up to the third. The stops he made he was supposed to make. 5

25 Sam Byram

Not involved in the mess for any of the three goals. Put himself about with some big tackles and did link up well with Joe Gelhardt in the best moves United put together through the first half. 5

6 Joe Rodon

Not the response he would have wanted to Saturday's poor showing. Was at the heart of the errors made for all three goals. Either misjudged basic passes, steamed in without the right judgement or didn't apply basic pressure on opponents attacking. 3

39 Max Wober

Caught on the ball in tight situations during the first half. Made some decent blocks in the second half before the goals came. Was, though, among those who could have done so much more about the opening goal. 5

3 Junior Firpo

Just watched as Dijksteel went past him, into the box for the opening goal. Had shown some early promise in the first half with his attacking, but the visitors completely dominated his flank after the break. One of several cogs not functioning properly. 4

4 Ethan Ampadu (c)

One of the few who did seem to offer some degree of resistance in the United half to what Middlesbrough were bringing. Put in some solid, combative tackles as the game got away from the hosts. 5

8 Joe Rothwell

Set-pieces were ordinary. Dribble down blind alleys in attack. Neither hurt Boro in attack nor offered a resistance in defence. 4

30 Joe Gelhardt

One of the few bright points of the first half. Nothing really stuck for him, but he was in the thick of it and trying to make things happen. Things just aren't quite sitting up for him. 6

10 Joel Piroe

Non-existent threat in attack. Neither bothered the goalkeeper nor created anything for someone else to bother the goalkeeper. A shirt running around the pitch. 3

11 Brenden Aaronson

Had the brief moment at the start putting Firpo in, but was anonymous thereafter. Too weak when he has the ball or when the opponent has the ball. Allowed Dijksteel to run past him and away from him before the opening goal. 3

9 Patrick Bamford

Will benefit from the 90 minutes. Didn't give the away defenders anything to thnk about. 3

Ermmm....

Ampadu did well enough...

Byram was average, defensively good-ish...

Wober was poor, worse than Rodon for me, Firpo is firpo...

Aarronsson was OK same as Gephardt but no real end product from either and certainly won't get us promoted.

Bamford/Piroe.... Shirts on the pitch..... Not creating anything, getting on the end of anything. Might improve but not expecting them to though. Don't think Piroe fits this system.... Good player at Swansea.

Rothwell good at Southampton.... It takes time/people around him. Nice deliveries mostly but he's not a creative player in his own right. Attack minded cog in midfield for me but won't generate chances by himself.

We're threadbare on quality for me.. Big names who either don't fit the style or aren't living up to the hype. We'll see but next few games will be tough.

Just watch the full match again.....

Going against the grain here, I thought Wober was easily our most composed defender in the first-half with Rothwell overall our best player, supplying some lovely deliveries from set-pieces, also put in a workmanlike display.

6 Darlow - made three decent saves.

5 Byram - no real clangers from Sam.

2 Rodon - should have done better for all three goals.

6 Wober - our best defender on the night, made one great tackle & two good blocks in our box.

2 Firpo - missed our only chance on target, one of many responsible for at least one of the goals.

5 Ampadu - why is he playing as a 3rd CB?

6 Aaronson - busy.

5 Piroe - the usual in & out of the game from Joel.

2 Gelhardt - headless chicken comes to mind.

1 Bamford - difficult to give Paddy a point, he provided us with nothing

subs

6 Gnonto - our most lively sub

5 Rutter - if only his thunderous shot had gone in off the post, would have been a fitting finale!

4 Struijk - got done for the third goal.

3 Gruev - quiet

No he wasn't, Rodon was part responsible for all three goals.

What has happened to our best defender last season?

I see Wober was given one of the higher scores.

I didn't think he was as bad as most mentioned on here, when watching at ER last night.

For the second Wobers wayward pass into a daft area that was intercepted by their player caused their break. He was also as culpable for the third as Rodon was while it was a mix up between Rodon/Byram for the first?

Both had bad games in my opinion and both will get better but Wober looked sketchy/nervous at all times for me last night, really didn't like their press. Just my opinion on it but they were both poor I reckon.

Rodon I really hope it isn't but looked injured, pulled up a few times? Either that or signing permanently has changed him
