We need to bring in free agents now
As DF likes to work with a small squad and when you get injuries we are not going to get promoted unless DF goes out NOW and brings in a proved midfielder player i.e. A Free Agent.

Why don't you scroll down and put all things related to DF in the Daniel Farke thread, it's a long standing discussion !!
I assume you don't like him, he won't be able to just go out and bring in "free agents" either without the say-so of the board.

Re: we need to bring in free agents now
We're light at CB as well pjm, and any more injuries there will compromise our promotion bid.
The problem is though that Farke, when he's been provided with other options, doesn't use them, unless he's forced to by injury, or suspension. I'm confident that had Amapdu and Gruev not been injured then we wouldn't have seen much, or any, of Tanaka and Rothwell this season. He doesn't rotate, even if players are carrying injuries, lose form, lose confidence, or are exhausted from playing every match., Rodon, and Ampadu were good examples of this last season.
He had options to rotate, change tactics, and freshen things up last season and didn't use them.
So, if you then go to the 49ers, who are trying to run things on a shoestring, and say you need a free agent, or a loan in January, that's likely to be thrown back to you, with the examples of Spence, Anthony, Cresswell, Joseph, etc, last season, all available and raring to go and not used despite us having a sustained slump during the run in that cost us promotion.

Re: we need to bring in free agents now
For me asap.
But they are just looking at the profit margin in a very short term approach. So they won't want to eat into their profits, and it would pretty much have to be a forced decision, where results have been bad for an extended period.
As long as he's doing enough to keep us in the hunt they will keep him. He needs to, and I hope he does, get up this season. Because the ascent to the EPL gets much steeper when you've been down here a few seasons and the parachute payments dwindle and your squad loses it's quality and depth.

Is bringing in free agents like ordering a pizza.
I’ll have a thin & crispy with a DMF topping and a deep pan with a AMF topping plus a side order of wedges with Winger dressing.
Oh and a pick & mix of CB, LB & GK.
I’ll expect it delivered in 30 minutes or I dont have to pay.

Re: we need to bring in free agents now
With Wober on the sidelines and Ampadu recovering, we already know that the squad is a bit thin in key position. Solomon another that's on short term sick list and now Gruev. Add this to the sub prone sickies that sit on the bench like Byram and Bamford and we are beyond working with a small squad. I reckon that DF will be sorting out a few loan signing and maybe a bit of shopping in January to bolster up the squad. Makes sense as the rest of the sides in the Championship do exactly that.

Please bear that in mind when you next bring something up, there could well already be a thread on here, just search.

I think we do tbf but I suspect we won't.
I'd go for Michut and Ali and check on the fitness of Matip

Re: we need to bring in free agents now
I'd take Alioski back. Versatile. Loves the club and the fans. And would not complain if we were fully fit and he didn't get game time.

Re the premise of the OP
DF has already said he will work with what he has

Re: We need to bring in free agents now
As cjay infers above, about fitness. Any free agent brought in now wouldn’t be properly match fit until January. At that stage we might as well bring someone in on the transfer window. Compare Kamara last season. He’d been training throughout the summer on his own - when did he find his second breath? November, was it?
