Will we beat Sunderland on Friday - Poll of the Day
Leeds will face Sunderland at the Sports Illustrated Stadium in New Jersey on Friday morning as their USA pre-season tour continues.
It's hard to read too much from pre-season games but Leeds didn't look great defensiely as they were beaten 3-2 by Wrexham last weekend while Sunderland were beaten 4-2 by Leeds United's next opponents Liverpool.
Do you see Daniel Farke starting with stronger squad? Do you see us getting the win?

Went draw as well.
Hoping the back 4 ploddyball experiment is over.
But without knowing the style or team draw seems the safest bet.

The things you associate with Farke areYorkshireSquare wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2026 12:23 pm I fear he wants to play a back four this season but we aren't ready for it!
Back 4
Double pivot - Ampadu plus Tanaka/Gruev or Charles would be the ideal with one slipping in to play sweeper so the wing backs can get forward
A true 8 - Stach, Longstaff, Rothwell type
Inverted wingers - I think he wants Okafor and Wilson for that
None of that really works in a 3

I'll go yes as long as Farke doesn't give too much time to the children.

Wilson can play wide or ten, fits both systems. If we land Brandt the you feel the only way to fit them all in is to play a back 4.

I will start the Poll of the Day threads on a regular basis nearer the new season.
Needed a break during the summer!
Thank you to those who have kept them going.

He does and like most team sports we're talking base/starting formation here. I think he's left footed so he's an inverted/narrow winger at best, he's not a get to the by line to cross type wingerYorkshireSquare wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2026 12:29 pm Wilson can play wide or ten, fits both systems. If we land Brandt and play a 5 the pivot or true 8 goes, it's doable but it will give the oposition a lot of space in front of our back five, especially as Bijol has zero recovery speed. Brandt will have to do a lot of press/tackling and closing as he becomes the third center mid when in defence

After his comments end of the season if he stayed on you knew how he'd want to go.YorkshireSquare wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2026 12:23 pm I fear he wants to play a back four this season but we aren't ready for it!
