Peter Gunby was twice called upon to serve as caretaker manager of Leeds United, first in 1985 and again in 1988. A respected coach within the club, he was a reliable presence during transitional periods. Although he never held the role permanently, Gunby's contribution to youth development and continuity made him a valuable member of the backroom staff.
