Just finished watching the whole game as been away all weekend.
I have the following observations:
Brentford are a decent counter attacking side who I think will pick up more points away from home than at Griffin Park.
We didn't deserve to win.
We didn't deserve to lose.
Pontus was a colossus
Alioski is a better left back than a wing back.
Jack Clarke should remain with the senior side.
The referee had a mare.
We didn't create many clear cut chances.
The international break has come at exactly the right time for us.
Sky may not ask Pontus to do any more post match interviews!

Agree with all that Cjay

Ali's finest hour indeed, has to be our LB if Douglas is unavailable

Thank god for Pontus who was like a one-man brick with headers, blocks, tackles, interceptions & covering up the errors of our three charlies at the back !
They were.

Ayling's passing at times was a joke, and Cooper, whatever we think of the pen it was a situation entirely of our own making.

Cooper wasnt being pressed, he just passed the ball to the Brentford player stood ten yards away.

Dont blame Dallas, knew he would be a liability at left back and he was, thats on Bielsa.

Jansson was immense and Ali put in the best full back display we have had this season.

When Canos was through as some numpty tread water behind him my heart was in my mouth.

I thought it was Cooper and was awaiting the inevitable sending off.

But not only did Ali show great pace to get there before the rapid Canos, he calmly took it past him, outside of the foot pass back, we retained possession.

Awesome Ali.

Bringing in an extra defensive midfielder, making sure to press our back line, we didnt cope well with that.

Cooper and Ayling especially were awful and Phillips struggled also with poor passes.

It was a bit of an eye opener, we have been poor before and wernt punished, Brentford did.

Dallas was awful at full back and was consistently out of position.

That being said we got a point and were a match for Brentford especially 2nd half.
