Do you accept that Leeds operate under financial constraints internally and externally, and can’t compete with the richer clubs?

We have enough in the locker to escape relegation this season with the players we have, whether bolstered slightly in January or not. Why do you assume we’ll be in the bottom three come the New Year?

The lack of belief in the squad, management and owners on this forum is mind-boggling.

Yes, I do clap happy, so what?

Scoobychief wrote: ↑Mon Nov 08, 2021 8:54 am the fact of the matter is we still have a gaping hole in midfield, i know people are singing forshaw's praise but the man for me doesnt create anything and is not a threat at all going forward and lets people pass him by too easily . but the blame cannot lie on him alone, we have spend 25m on a quick lad again that has no end product whatsoever and i cannot see james ever improving.. and harrison the same no end product so we have these 2 playing virtually on same wing that create nothing, meanwhile we have our best player in the squad by a country mile in raph trying to create and score goals and do the wing work. and rodrigo has also been another 30m wasted hes looking sharp but cannot finnish at all. so back to the midfield there is nothing going in there. i mean in reality im very pleased with the point we arened at least we didnt get beat, but we could have nicked all 3 points on sunday. we desperately need not 1 but 2 midfielders, we never replaced saiz and have never replaced hernandez also unless we get midfielders of that quality we are never going to progress. and i reckon we are all kinda holding our breath because after the internationals we are in for a very tough december taking us into january and who knows where we will be by then. and if we are in the bottom 3 come january are we likely to sign the players we need to get us to survive or are our owners just going to wave the white flag and say it was allways going to be tough this year to remain in the premier league, i know money doesnt garantee success but by golly lad we are still short of at least 3 players. if not more.

We all know and I hope the club do too that we need a Pablo and another forward to chip in regularly with goals to supplement Paddy n Rapha , in fact our midfielders need to chip in much more as well but that aside I think we have the nucleus of a great team when you take into account the 23's coming through so if we can stay up this season I think we can be an established PL club. It all takes time but this season's survival is vital.

A bit more composure in front of goal we would have won at a canter yesterday, just hope when PB is fit we don't forget about JG, this kid needs minutes as do a number of the young un's, would be criminal if we blindly stuck with James, Harrison & Roberts if they aint producing the goods, keeping the younger talent out of the team.

We're not leaking loads of goals (Liverpool and Manure aside) but we've still only scored twice in one game this season. That tells its own story.

Credit where credits due for Forshaw, sounds like he had a good game, he may not be the future but you can only rate a player on his last performance and quite a few had him MOM on here and elsewhere in a game we looked like we should have won with the two gilt-edge chances squandered. A front four of Harrison, James, Raphinha & Rodrigo really should be producing the goods in front of goal, whilst hopefully Bielsa now see's the benefit of more cover in midfield. More International Bollo*.
Having Forshaw on the pitch was an insurance to allow Phillips to go forward. Kalvin was unlucky with a header on target, also it was his header at the near post that created a glorious chance for Jack to somehow miscue the ball over the bar.

Contrary to what some say about Forshaw's performance, believe me 1000 we had much more control in the middle of the park with AF & Phillips as DM's

Once again, we also played three CB's at the back.

All trial & error, but the new system seems to be flourishing :-D
