Leeds United extended their unbeaten run to five Premier League matches with a hard-earned 1–1 draw at the Stadium of Light, though the first half was far from comfortable. Daniel Farke’s side started deep and cautious, moving the ball across the back and inviting pressure, with early nerves only briefly eased when Noah Okafor forced a corner. Joe Rodon suffered two heavy challenges, one twisting his ankle painfully, with no VAR intervention, he was eventually withdrawn from the action but not before critical turning point. Leeds failed to fully clear a long throw, allowing Sunderland to work the ball wide and inside for Simon Adingra to curl home, a goal that looked tight for offside but was allowed to stand, played on by the immobile Rodon.

Leeds could have levelled before the break. Brenden Aaronson went close after being set up by Dominic Calvert-Lewin, beating the keeper only for Trai Hume to clear off the line, while Sunderland wasted gilt-edged chances in stoppage time, with Lucas Perri scrambling well before Brian Brobbey struck the crossbar. Leeds were relieved to reach half-time only a goal down, but the second half brought a clear shift in tempo and intent. A superb passing move involving all 11 outfield players ended with Anton Stach switching play to Aaronson, whose low cross was calmly finished by Calvert-Lewin to level the match just two minutes after the restart.

That goal changed the balance of the game. Leeds dominated possession and territory, creating further openings, including a late chance for Jayden Bogle, but could not find a winner despite a commanding second-half display. Calvert-Lewin’s strike made it six Premier League games in a row, the first Leeds player to achieve that feat in the top flight since John McCole in 1959–60, and helped move the Whites seven points clear of the bottom three. With testing fixtures ahead, this felt like a valuable point and a fitting way to end the year, earned through resilience, improved tempo and a growing belief that Leeds can battle their way to survival.

Thats just it..he's done nothing :roflmao:
But youre right, Id like to see him get a chance - maybe throwing him in the deep end is a good idea. But if we lose then Farke will ge crucified for taking the risk ... again.

Yes I was putting forth a very esoteric idea that most football fans would not be aquaint with and it was expounded the the book called "The Secret" namely the law of attraction. a very woke idea that I sought to make fun of, but unsuccessfully it seems in your case.

However it may be right in one aspect that negativity attracts negativity.

Core Idea: The Law of Attraction
The central message is that thoughts and emotions emit vibrational energy that attracts similar experiences into your life, "like attracts like." Positive thinking draws positive outcomes, while negative thinking attracts negativity.

I wrote and extremely positive post on how Leeds would pulverise Sunderland, expecting the universe to deliver, but it didn't happen, so the only conclusion I could come to was I was not fervent enough and that is why the universe did not deliver😅😂🤣

Byrne the author of the book claims this principle has been known by great historical figures (e.g., Plato, Shakespeare, Einstein) and is the key to creating reality intentionally.

In an nutshell, Leeds fans through the law of attraction could unite to unsure Leeds are not relegated, but it might not work since there are so many negative voices attracting failure.

Key Process to Apply "The Secret"
The book outlines a simple three-step creative process:

Ask: Clearly define what you want and ask the universe for it.

Believe: Feel as if it's already yours, visualize, act "as if," and have unwavering faith.

Receive: Be open and grateful; the universe will deliver through inspired actions or opportunities.

It applies this to areas like money (e.g., visualize abundance to attract wealth), health (positive thoughts heal the body), and relationships (focus on love to draw it in).

The book features quotes and insights from modern "teachers" (self-help experts, philosophers) and anecdotes of people manifesting desires.

If I make a joke about the law of attraction it seems it will be missed by everyone who doesn't know about it, and you in oarticular...and then again if you have to explain the mechanics for a joke, it has lost the whole point of making it.

Hope that's not to confusing... and I hope you will practice the Law of attraction for a win at Liverpool😘

malcolmw wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 1:17 am I agree Sub, but fact is he hasnt been given the minutes - a bit like Schmidt. Maybe they feel Bornaauw is not a fit for the 3-5-2 formation - not like Bijol, who has adapted to it really well :duno:
The issue now is we have a really tough set of fixtures in January - if Joe is going to be out for more than a couple of games, Bornaauw surely should be getting some time on the field, but do you risk starting him against top 5 teams?

Maybe Justin comes in and Bogle goes higher up?? But my guess is on Thursday Amps will drop back and Tanaka will start in midfield. I wish we had Longstaff fit.
You have to, he's done nothing to not warrant a chance.

Could be the same for our very own Joe Rodon, no concrete information yet!
Its usually four parts sharp sand to one part cement mixed with medium sized pebbles.....
