Ferencváros, Hungary’s most successful football club, was founded in 1899 and is based in Budapest. They have dominated the Hungarian league and regularly compete in European tournaments. The club's Groupama Arena is a modern facility that also hosts national team matches.
Leeds United defeated Ferencváros in the 1967–68 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup Final. A 1-0 win in Hungary followed a 0-0 draw at Elland Road, crowning Leeds champions of their first major European trophy under Don Revie.
