Re: NAP of the Day

The only theory for number 1 doing well would be in handicaps where the top weight by definition is the best horse in the race. Other than that it’s pure chance. Also of course number 1 is always in a race whereas say number 12 isn’t. Are you trying to rubbish my theory before it’s gained any tract...

Re: Next 6 games/How Many Points? - Congratulations Muppet the Cat.

Thank you, 64 (and Ken)

My expectations over the season as a whole must have been relatively realistic then, not to optimistic, but not too pessimistic either 🙂

……and thanks for your time/effort in running the comp over the course of the season

Re: Your Pint of choice this evening

Great label. I saw that name up in Chester recently. Must’ve been in a pub or shop somewhere. You say started does that mean a session?? No, wouldn’t say a session……..but a nice sunny May afternoon/evening (notwithstanding the short downpour earlier) does lend itself to a couple/few beers :) :beers...

Re: NAP of the Day

Well that didn't go well  All seven of my selections were 4/1 or under (four of them hot favourites), hence the reason I had a fiver wins on all of them. Desert Hero, Big Rock, Wiltshire, Godwinson & Siyola only beat eleven horses to the post between them. Absolute shocking statistics. :...

Re: Southampton pre match chat

As an 8yr old I remember this Leeds 7 v 0 Southampton from MOTD in 1972, with the Barry Davies commentary -

......."poor Southampton don't know what day it is....it's almost cruel"

Oh for such a performance and result next Sunday :)

Will give it a try, Foxy

This evening I’ve started with a Darwin’s Origin from the Salopian Brewery (in Shrewsbury) ……being quite close it sneaks over Offa’s Dyke to these parts :)

No idea why they filter beer.
It tastes way nicer when it isn’t. So does wine.
