Re: Georginio Rutter-

Poor old Georgie extended his run to 0 goals and 0 assists in 8 games. His collapse in form has coincided with ours unsurprisingly given how reliant we've been on him this season. During that time he has only created 3 chances. His touch seems heavier, his tricks and skills are now not coming off, h...

Norwich 2nd leg pre match chat

2nd leg thread. A snoozefest of a 1st leg saw us and Norwich play out a cure for insomnia. 0-0. It however wasn't the worst result and saw Daniel Farke set up not to lose and halt the slide, which he managed. Going into the 1st leg Norwich will have been hoping for a win, much stronger home than awa...

He did.

Farke isn't Bielsa.

Re: Premier League Thread

Bayern Munich made Oliver Glasner the main managerial target and approached Crystal Palace who demanded €100million to release him.

Quite the rise from Glasner.

She's beautiful.

Does the heart good to see dogs that haven't had the best life get a 2nd chance.

Credit to you.

Re: Norwich Away - Post Match Thread

In my experience all the best atmospheres at ER have been when the crowd has lifted the team and not the other way around, Then when the team responds the fans raise it again to a whole new level. Maybe those days have gone though because as you say the prevailing mood now seems to be one of anxiet...

Re: Norwich Away - Post Match Thread

Our fans should learn to be more patient then. If on Thursday we have to grind Norwich down then so be it and we definitely shouldn't be influenced tactically by our fanbase not being able to appreciate the benefits of a possession based gameplan. I think they'd appreciate a possession based gamepl...

Re: Norwich Away - Post Match Thread

Of course it’s an illogical comment from Farke tbh. You’d have to factor in absolutely every bad call for all teams and then display that as a point lost or gained. But I’d agree with him in the sense he’s saying it’s not good enough that VAR isn’t in a league that feeds the PL. That’s knuckle drag...

Re: Norwich Away - Post Match Thread

To you maybe. To me, it's honesty. We've had hand ball goals given, offside goals given, off side goals disallowed against us that shouldn't have been. Have we had some bad decisions? Absolutely We've benefited plenty of times as well. It's not an accurate statement to say we'd have been promoted w...

Re: Norwich Away - Post Match Thread

This is why I agreed with Farke when he said how it was the start of the season that killed us. It meant that every game we were having to go for the win rather than being able to set up like this and try to control the game and then hopefully find a win. If we do play the same way on Thursday then...

Re: Norwich Away - Post Match Thread

Yeah, I'd agree with that. It's whether Farke and the players get scared and freeze up at the moment of truth. We've had lots of that recently. That would be the concern. When it's mattered recently both players and manager have been found lacking. Early goal would hopefully settle those nerves

Re: Norwich Away - Post Match Thread

Josh Sargent possibly being out on Thursday would be a major boost for us. The 2nd most clinical striker in the league this season and crucially Norwich are a much worse away team and a much worse team when he doesn't play. When he starts 45 points from 24 games. When he doesn't 25 points from 22 ga...

Re: Norwich Away - Post Match Thread

Well they've gotta come back for the ball if nobody brings it forward, or passes forward  Agree that an early goal will settle the nerves. We definitely don't need any more clangers from Meslier, or the defence, as that was our undoing against Derby when we were 2-0 up on aggregate. It will be...

Re: Today's Games

If we can make it to the final I'd much prefer to play WBA. Saints have may wore weapons and quality than the Baggies Neither are ideal. Southampton have walked through us twice, Martin seems to have Farke's number. We haven't beaten WBA either and Corberan is the sort of coach who in a 1 off game ...

Re: Norwich Away - Post Match Thread

Farke's here now - feeling? When you play first leg, away draw, clean sheet, difficult ground, always solid result. Happy with the performance and the result. Last games in the season were not great in results and conceded too many goals after many clean sheets. Away games conceded too many. Wanted ...

Re: Norwich Away - Post Match Thread

I honestly hoped Rutter would offer more today. He was the worse player on the pitch, no lack of effort but hardly anything is coming off. That pass to (…cannot recall, but the runner had three defenders around him) when Rutter had acres of space to run into was just symptomatic of a player with ze...
